Roles & Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, and maintain software solutions for Qualcomm’s mobile chipsets, embedded platforms, and intelligent connected devices.
- Work on real-time embedded software development, firmware engineering, and device driver implementation for advanced hardware platforms.
- Develop software for Android, Linux, Windows-based embedded systems, and mobile operating environments using modern software engineering practices.
- Contribute to multimedia technologies including audio codecs, video processing, image processing, and multimedia software stack optimization.
- Support wireless modem and connectivity software development for technologies such as 4G, WiFi, Bluetooth, LTE, and communication protocols.
- Participate in Linux kernel development, Board Support Package (BSP) implementation, and low-level platform software engineering activities.
- Develop and optimize communication protocol stacks using technologies such as TCP, UDP, IP, SIP, RTP, and wireless networking standards.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to build software architectures for embedded systems, IoT devices, smart assistants, drones, and connected technologies.
- Perform debugging, troubleshooting, code optimization, and performance tuning to improve software reliability, scalability, and system efficiency.
- Apply object-oriented programming principles and data structure concepts to create robust, maintainable, and efficient software solutions.
- Participate in code reviews, testing activities, technical discussions, and collaborative engineering initiatives to ensure high-quality software delivery.
- Stay updated with emerging technologies, embedded systems trends, wireless communication advancements, and software development best practices.
Requirements & Eligibility
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science Engineering, Electronics & Communication Engineering, Information Technology, Communication Engineering, or related technical disciplines.
- Strong programming skills in C and C++ with understanding of object-oriented programming, memory management, and systems-level software development.
- Good understanding of operating system concepts, data structures, algorithms, computer architecture, and software engineering fundamentals.
- Familiarity with Linux, UNIX environments, Linux drivers, Linux kernel development, or embedded systems programming concepts.
- Basic understanding of wireless communication technologies such as CDMA, GSM, UMTS, LTE, WiFi, Bluetooth, or networking protocols.
- Knowledge of Android, embedded platforms, firmware development, protocol stacks, or mobile application development will be beneficial.
- Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities with the capability to work on complex technical and performance optimization challenges.
- Good verbal and written communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively within global engineering and cross-functional teams.
- Interest in multimedia technologies, IoT platforms, augmented reality, virtual reality, robotics, or smart connected device ecosystems.
- Familiarity with networking protocols such as TCP, UDP, IP, SIP, RTP, or software debugging and performance analysis tools will be an advantage.
