Responsibilities
Develop, maintain, and enhance the EA Modeling software stack by assembling and editing source code repositories, focusing on high availability and scalability.
Design and Implement EA Tool Customizations: Develop VB/JavaScript scripts and leverage EA Sparx Common Libraries to enforce modeling correctness, validation, and consistency across the product suite.
Metamodel Alignment & Governance: Design and implement Model Driven Generation (MDG) technologies within EA Sparx to ensure strict alignment with the company's Enterprise Metamodel.
EA Application Administration & Integration: Participate in the administration, deployment, and integration of key EA platforms, specifically Sparx Enterprise Architect, ARIS, and Hopex (v2/v4).
Data and System Integration: Determine how modeling data stored in underlying databases (DBMS) is integrated and ensure seamless interaction between various applications, legacy systems, and web interfaces.
Full Lifecycle Participation: Participate in all phases of the product development lifecycle, from analysis and low-level design compliant with architectural blueprints, through to testing, integration, and operation (DevOps/Support) - and integration to operation and support of products
Quality Assurance: Define the test strategy, create comprehensive test scripts/scenarios, and monitor execution.
Research and evaluate new tools/technologies to improve product development and modeling efficiency.
Ensure awareness of compliance risks and act with integrity.
Production Readiness & Support: Actively participate in the on-call rotation (as needed) to troubleshoot and resolve high-priority incidents affecting the EA Modeling platform in production.
Deployment & Monitoring: Deploy, test, and/or integrate highly available, scalable, maintainable, and monitored systems and services. Define and implement application monitoring dashboards and alerts.
Participate in the administration and routine maintenance of the underlying modeling databases and application servers (cloud/on-prem).
Qualification & Experience:
Required:
Bachelor/Master Degree in a relevant technical field with 5+ years of software experience, including at least 3+ years of hands-on core development.
Mandatory Experience in EA Tooling: Proven hands-on experience developing, supporting, or administering at least one major EA tool: Sparx Enterprise Architect (EA Sparx), ARIS, and/or Hopex.
Proficiency in Scripting/Automation: Strong hands-on experience with VB (Visual Basic) and/or JavaScript for application scripting and customization.
Solid experience with version control (GitLab/GitHub) and Relational DBMS (SQL/Oracle/Postgres), as models are database-driven.
Hands-on experience with core technologies: Node.js, AngularJS/other modern frontend frameworks.
Good knowledge of the DevOps stack (Containerization, Jenkins, Terraform).
Experience in low-level design creation, adhering to best coding practices and sustainable development.
Worked in an agile environment (SAFe, Scrum) and skilled in test plan/test case creation.
Strong team player and quick learner adaptable to new technologies.
Desired:
Experience in application design and API architecture.
Strong programming knowledge in Python, .Net, or Java.
Technical certification or course in relevant technologies or EA tools.
Good written and verbal communication skills.
Exposure to Foundry tools and technologies, Custom data pipeline design using Python and PySpark
