Roles & Responsibilities

• Analyze large datasets to identify business trends, operational patterns, and actionable insights for decision-making processes.
• Develop, maintain, and optimize scalable data pipelines using PySpark and modern data engineering tools.
• Write efficient SQL queries for data extraction, transformation, and loading activities across multiple data sources.
• Build and implement data models, schemas, normalization, and denormalization strategies for optimized data management.
• Collaborate with product, design, executive, and engineering teams to support business-critical data infrastructure requirements.
• Perform data quality checks, cleansing activities, and validation processes to ensure data accuracy and consistency.
• Support the development of analytical tools and dashboards to monitor operational efficiency and business KPIs.
• Work on banking analytics projects involving customer transactions, loan performance analysis, fraud detection, and financial reporting.
• Assist in maintaining centralized data repositories and ensuring efficient management of enterprise data assets.
• Contribute to CI/CD pipeline implementation for automated deployment and continuous integration of data workflows.
• Stay updated with emerging technologies, industry best practices, and advancements in analytics and big data ecosystems.
• Support troubleshooting, optimization, and continuous improvement initiatives for enterprise data systems and infrastructure.

Requirements & Eligibility

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.
• Proven experience in data analytics, data engineering, or software engineering roles involving large-scale datasets.
• Strong proficiency in Python programming including libraries such as Pandas and NumPy for data manipulation and analysis.
• Hands-on experience with PySpark for distributed data processing and scalable analytics workflows.
• Excellent SQL skills with expertise in database querying, transformation, and data management operations.
• Basic understanding of Hadoop ecosystems and modern big data technologies.
• Good knowledge of ETL processes, data pipelines, and enterprise data engineering best practices.
• Familiarity with data modeling concepts including schemas, normalization, denormalization, and cardinality management.
• Understanding of CI/CD pipelines, automation tools, and deployment workflows is considered an added advantage.
• Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities to handle complex business and technical challenges.
• Good communication and stakeholder management skills for collaborating across cross-functional teams.
• Knowledge of banking operations, financial products, credit risk analysis, and banking analytics will be highly beneficial.

Expected Salary

The expected salary for the Executive – Software Engineering role at KPMG India generally ranges between ₹6 LPA to ₹14 LPA depending on prior experience, expertise in Python, PySpark, SQL, banking analytics, and enterprise data engineering technologies.
