As an AI Software Engineer, candidates will work extensively with technologies such as Python, TypeScript, AWS Bedrock, LangChain, LangGraph, CrewAI, vector databases, Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), and MCP systems. The role involves building intelligent agent workflows that leverage tool calling, memory management, orchestration frameworks, and controlled execution environments. Roles & Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable MCP servers using Python and TypeScript to support secure and efficient large language model integrations.
• Build and deploy agentic AI systems capable of reasoning, planning, memory handling, and executing multi-step autonomous workflows.
• Develop AI agent workflows using advanced orchestration techniques including tool calling, short-term memory, long-term memory, context management, and execution guardrails.
• Create Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) pipelines including document ingestion, chunking strategies, embedding generation, vector indexing, and hybrid retrieval systems.
• Implement Knowledge Graph and Graph RAG solutions to enable advanced reasoning across structured and unstructured enterprise datasets.
• Design and deploy AI applications on AWS cloud infrastructure with strong utilization of AWS Bedrock and related cloud-native services.
• Develop REST APIs, microservices, and enterprise integration layers to connect AI systems with business applications and operational platforms.
• Ensure adherence to Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) best practices including coding standards, testing, deployment, monitoring, and maintenance.
• Collaborate with architects, AI engineers, cloud teams, and stakeholders during architectural discussions, feature planning, and technical reviews.
• Optimize vector databases, embeddings, prompt engineering techniques, and AI orchestration workflows for performance, scalability, and reliability.
• Participate in code reviews, CI/CD pipeline management, Git-based workflows, and software quality assurance activities across development cycles.
• Support responsible AI practices, AI security measures, observability frameworks, and governance policies for enterprise-grade AI systems.

Requirements & Eligibility

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related technical field.
• Strong hands-on development experience in Python and/or TypeScript for enterprise software and AI application development.
• Experience building MCP servers, AI orchestration layers, or equivalent large language model integration systems.
• Practical experience with AI agent frameworks such as LangChain, LangGraph, CrewAI, or related agentic AI platforms.
• Familiarity with AI-powered IDEs and coding tools including GitHub Copilot, Cursor, Windsurf, Claude Code, Kiro, or similar AI development platforms.
• Strong understanding of large language models, prompt engineering, AI orchestration, memory systems, and tool usage frameworks.
• Experience designing and deploying AI systems on AWS cloud platforms, especially AWS Bedrock and cloud-native AI infrastructure services.
• Hands-on expertise with vector databases, embeddings, semantic search systems, RAG architectures, and hybrid retrieval methodologies.
• Solid knowledge of software engineering fundamentals, microservices architecture, REST APIs, CI/CD pipelines, and Git-based workflows.
• Familiarity with observability tools, AI evaluation frameworks, monitoring systems, and performance optimization techniques for AI applications.
• Understanding of AI governance, AI security, responsible AI principles, and controlled execution mechanisms for enterprise environments.
• Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving capabilities, communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively within agile engineering teams.

Expected Salary

The expected salary for the AI Software Engineer role at Sutherland generally ranges between ₹12 LPA to ₹24 LPA depending on expertise in AI frameworks, cloud engineering, large language models, and enterprise software development.
