Cornerstone is hiring Associate Software Engineers to join its engineering team in Hyderabad and Pune. In this role, you will participate in the complete Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), from understanding business requirements and designing technical solutions to coding, unit testing, debugging, and code reviews. You will work on scalable backend and mobile applications using technologies such as Java, Spring Framework, Kotlin, Objective-C, Swift, Android, iOS, relational databases, and modern web development frameworks. The position offers excellent exposure to enterprise software engineering, Agile methodologies, cloud-based application development, and software quality practices while helping you strengthen your technical expertise and problem-solving abilities through real-world product development.

Roles & Responsibilities

1. Analyze business and technical requirements to design, develop, and implement scalable software solutions that meet functional and performance expectations.
2. Write clean, efficient, maintainable, and well-documented code using Java, Kotlin, Objective-C, Swift, Spring Framework, and other relevant technologies.
3. Participate in the complete software development lifecycle, including coding, unit testing, debugging, integration testing, deployment, and maintenance.
4. Develop and enhance software features while ensuring high standards of reliability, scalability, security, and application performance.
5. Collaborate with software developers, QA engineers, product managers, and cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality software products within project timelines.
6. Conduct code reviews, identify improvement opportunities, and follow coding standards and software engineering best practices.
7. Assist in automating quality assurance initiatives that improve software reliability, product stability, and overall development efficiency.
8. Participate in Agile ceremonies such as sprint planning, daily stand-ups, retrospectives, and design review meetings.
9. Troubleshoot software issues, identify root causes, and implement effective solutions for moderately complex technical problems.
10. Estimate development tasks accurately and contribute to timely delivery of software releases and product enhancements.
11. Work closely with support, services, and product management teams to resolve customer issues and improve user experience.
12. Continuously learn emerging technologies, development frameworks, and industry best practices to enhance technical expertise and contribute innovative ideas.

Requirements & Eligibility

1. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related engineering discipline from a recognized university.
2. Fresh graduates or candidates with up to two years of software development experience are encouraged to apply.
3. Strong programming knowledge in Java, Kotlin, Objective-C, or Swift, with a solid understanding of object-oriented programming principles.
4. Good understanding of the Spring Framework, backend development concepts, and enterprise application architecture.
5. Knowledge of Android or iOS application development, lifecycle management, design patterns, and mobile application fundamentals.
6. Familiarity with relational database management systems (RDBMS), SQL queries, and transaction-based application development.
7. Basic understanding of modern web development technologies, software design principles, RESTful APIs, and cloud-based applications will be advantageous.
8. Knowledge of Agile development methodologies such as Scrum and familiarity with software development best practices.
9. Excellent analytical thinking, debugging skills, communication abilities, and the willingness to learn new technologies in a collaborative environment.
10. Strong teamwork, adaptability, problem-solving capabilities, and a positive attitude toward continuous learning and professional growth.

Expected Salary

The expected salary for the Associate Software Engineer role at Cornerstone generally ranges between ₹7 LPA and ₹12 LPA, depending on academic performance, programming skills, internships, technical assessments, and interview performance. Candidates with strong expertise in Java, Spring Boot, mobile application development, or backend engineering may receive offers toward the higher end of the salary range.
