The position requires a strong understanding of Windows Server environments, SQL databases, monitoring tools, and IT service management processes. By ensuring timely issue resolution and maintaining effective communication with stakeholders, you will help improve service reliability, operational efficiency, and customer satisfaction across the organization.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Support a 24×7 operational environment through rotational shifts, ensuring uninterrupted service availability and adherence to service level agreements.

• Perform Level 1 analysis, troubleshooting, and resolution of application, infrastructure, and system-related incidents in a timely manner.

• Monitor enterprise applications and infrastructure environments using industry-standard monitoring tools and operational dashboards.

• Review system recordings and user interactions to assess service quality, identify issues, and evaluate customer experience impacts.

• Collect application logs, diagnostic information, and system data to facilitate effective incident investigation and escalation processes.

• Coordinate with development, engineering, and support teams to resolve technical issues and ensure successful remediation of recurring problems.

• Deliver exceptional customer service by tracking open tickets, communicating status updates, and ensuring prompt issue resolution.

• Maintain detailed documentation of incidents, known issues, troubleshooting procedures, and operational best practices.

• Participate in daily, weekly, and monthly operational reviews, technical meetings, and stakeholder update sessions.

• Contribute to client-facing reports, presentations, and service performance reviews using analytical and reporting tools.

• Support issue tracking and bug remediation activities to improve system stability, application performance, and service quality.

• Build strong professional relationships with customers, internal teams, and business stakeholders to foster effective collaboration.

Requirements & Eligibility

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related technical discipline.

• Minimum 1 year of experience in application support, infrastructure monitoring, service desk operations, technical support, or IT operations.

• Familiarity with Global Command Center operations, frontline monitoring environments, or enterprise service desk processes.

• Experience working with Windows Server environments, including system administration and troubleshooting activities.

• Knowledge of .NET-based applications, IIS web servers, worker processes, Web.config files, and Windows Event Logs.

• Understanding of application monitoring tools, infrastructure monitoring solutions, and incident management practices.

• Basic networking knowledge including connectivity troubleshooting, network services, and performance monitoring concepts.

• Hands-on experience with Microsoft SQL Server, including SQL queries, SQL Jobs, blocking scenarios, and Always On configurations.

• Familiarity with Azure monitoring services and cloud infrastructure concepts will be highly beneficial.

• Experience using IT Service Management (ITSM) platforms such as ServiceNow or similar ticketing and support systems.

• Understanding of ITIL framework principles, incident management, problem management, and service delivery best practices.

• Ability to create reports and visualize operational data using Power BI, Microsoft Excel, pivot tables, and charts.

• Strong verbal and written English communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with international clients.

• Customer-focused mindset with excellent interpersonal skills, problem-solving abilities, and a commitment to delivering high-quality support services.

• Relevant technical certifications, including ITIL Foundation, Microsoft certifications, Azure certifications, or support-related credentials, will be considered an advantage.

Expected Salary

The expected salary for an Associate Systems Engineer at Altera in Pune or Vadodara typically ranges between ₹5 LPA and ₹9 LPA, depending on the candidate’s technical expertise, support experience, infrastructure knowledge, and certifications.
