Purplle.com presents the Tech Challenge 2026, a high-impact competitive hiring event designed for engineers, data professionals, and innovators who want to solve real-world, large-scale technical problems. Unlike traditional hiring processes, this challenge is built around real user scenarios from Purplle’s beauty platform, which serves over 60 million users across India. Participants will work with real data, real systems, and real-scale engineering problems involving AI-driven architecture, system reliability, scalability, and product engineering. This is an opportunity for candidates who want to go beyond routine coding interviews and demonstrate their ability to design intelligent, production-ready systems that directly impact millions of users.

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and optimize scalable software systems handling millions of users across web and mobile platforms.
  • Build high-performance backend services, APIs, and frontend applications using modern engineering frameworks and architectures.
  • Work on AI-driven engineering workflows including automation, monitoring, anomaly detection, and system optimization.
  • Develop and maintain data pipelines, analytics systems, and large-scale data processing infrastructure for real-time decision-making.
  • Participate in system design discussions focused on scalability, resilience, cost optimization, and performance efficiency.
  • Implement DevOps practices including CI/CD pipelines, containerization, cloud infrastructure management, and automated deployments.
  • Build self-healing systems, automated rollback mechanisms, and resilient architectures to minimize production failures.
  • Collaborate with product managers, designers, and engineering teams to deliver user-centric, high-impact features.
  • Optimize application performance, reduce latency, and improve system reliability across distributed architectures.
  • Work with AI tools and frameworks to improve engineering productivity and enhance development lifecycle efficiency.
  • Ensure security, compliance, and governance standards are maintained across all engineering systems and repositories.
  • Contribute to code reviews, technical documentation, and engineering best practices for continuous system improvement.

Requirements & Eligibility

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Data Science, or related technical fields.
  • 1–6 years of experience for SDE II roles; 1+ years for engineering, data, and DevOps roles; internships open for 3rd/4th-year students.
  • Strong programming skills in languages such as Java, Python, JavaScript, C++, or similar technologies depending on role.
  • Strong understanding of system design, scalability, distributed systems, and high-performance application architecture.
  • Experience or familiarity with AI tools, automation frameworks, or machine learning concepts will be a strong advantage.
  • Knowledge of backend systems, frontend frameworks, or data engineering pipelines depending on applied role.
  • Strong problem-solving ability with focus on product thinking, system reliability, and engineering efficiency.
  • Understanding of cloud platforms, DevOps tools, Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD pipelines, and monitoring systems.
  • Ability to optimize code for performance, cost efficiency, and scalability in large-scale production environments.
  • Strong analytical mindset with ability to work on real-world, high-impact engineering challenges.
  • Good communication skills and ability to collaborate in cross-functional, fast-paced engineering teams.
  • Passion for building scalable systems, AI-native platforms, and modern software engineering solutions.

The Purplle Tech Challenge 2026 offers competitive CTCs depending on role, experience, and performance during the challenge rounds. For engineering and data roles, expected salary packages typically range between ₹10 LPA to ₹35+ LPA for experienced candidates, while internship and entry-level roles are compensated based on industry standards and performance-based evaluation outcomes.
