About the Role: SRE Intern

As an SRE Intern, you will:

  • Work with the infrastructure team to maintain and improve system reliability, observability, and scalability

  • Gain real-world experience in building and automating production systems

  • Get exposure to modern DevOps practices and tools

  • Be evaluated for potential full-time SRE roles based on performance

Responsibilities

  • Monitor and help maintain production infrastructure and services

  • Automate routine tasks using scripting languages (e.g., Python, Perl)

  • Assist in designing and implementing monitoring, alerting, and logging systems

  • Collaborate with dev teams to enhance service scalability

  • Participate in incident responses and postmortem documentation

  • Contribute to internal dashboards and documentation

Required Skills

  • Pursuing a degree in Computer Science or a related field

  • Basic knowledge of Linux and shell scripting

  • Eagerness to learn and solve problems

  • Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure) is a plus

Good to Have

  • Understanding of distributed systems (Hadoop, Kafka, Elasticsearch)

  • Exposure to container orchestration tools

  • Experience with version control systems (Git)

  • Knowledge of Infrastructure-as-Code tools like Terraform or Ansible
