🔖 Job Type: Full-Time Hybrid
Description
The Analytics Engineer – Analyst position at Huron is an entry-level opportunity for professionals looking to build a career across data engineering, business intelligence, data analytics, data modeling, and reporting. Based in Bangalore's Outer Ring Road area, the role provides exposure to the complete analytics delivery lifecycle, from understanding business requirements and preparing data to developing reports, testing solutions, documenting processes, and supporting production environments. The position involves working alongside Data Engineers, Power BI Developers, Data Architects, QA teams, team leads, and business stakeholders across Huron's US and India operations. This makes the role particularly suitable for graduates and early-career professionals who want to develop practical expertise in SQL, Python, Power BI, ETL/ELT, data validation, and modern analytics platforms.
A major focus of this role is helping transform raw business data into reliable datasets, analytical models, dashboards, and reports that support data-driven decision-making. The Analytics Engineer – Analyst will assist with ETL and ELT processes, including data extraction, transformation, loading, mapping, reconciliation, and validation. The position also involves writing SQL queries and Python scripts for data preparation, automation, validation, and reporting. Candidates will contribute to Microsoft Power BI development by working with dashboards, visualizations, filters, slicers, semantic models, relationships, measures, dimensions, and introductory DAX calculations. Exposure to cloud and analytics platforms such as Databricks, Azure Data Factory, AWS S3, AWS Glue, Redshift, and Snowflake can further strengthen the candidate's ability to work with modern enterprise data environments.
The role also provides valuable experience in quality assurance, analytics testing, documentation, deployment support, and production issue resolution. Professionals will participate in requirements discussions, document business and reporting needs, validate datasets and reports, support user acceptance testing, record defects, and help troubleshoot issues related to data refreshes, visualizations, access, data quality, and report performance. Because Huron operates through global delivery teams, the position requires collaboration with colleagues across different locations and time zones. The company is also encouraging responsible use of approved AI-enabled productivity tools for activities such as documentation, analysis, testing, and issue investigation, with outputs expected to be validated before use. For candidates beginning careers in analytics engineering or business intelligence, this role offers broad exposure rather than limiting them to a single technology.
Roles & Responsibilities
- Support Data & Analytics solution development by assisting with the design, development, testing, and maintenance of data pipelines, datasets, data models, dashboards, and business reports used across Huron's enterprise environment.
- Assist with ETL and ELT processes by performing data extraction, transformation, loading, mapping, reconciliation, and validation activities while ensuring that data is accurately prepared for analytical and reporting requirements.

- Develop Microsoft Power BI reports and dashboards using approved design standards, appropriate visualizations, filters, slicers, data models, and basic DAX calculations to present business information clearly.
- Support Power BI semantic modeling by understanding source tables, relationships, joins, business grain, measures, dimensions, and reporting requirements, helping ensure that dashboards are built on reliable and logically structured data.
- Work with cloud and analytics platforms such as Databricks and other enterprise data environments to support reporting, analytics, data preparation, and business intelligence use cases.
- Participate in requirements discussions with project teams and business stakeholders, helping understand reporting needs and documenting data definitions, assumptions, open questions, and expected analytical outcomes.
- Support quality assurance and testing activities including unit testing, report validation, data comparisons, user acceptance testing, defect documentation, and issue remediation to improve the accuracy of analytics deliverables.
- Troubleshoot basic data and reporting problems involving data refreshes, visualizations, access permissions, data quality, and report performance, escalating more complex technical issues to senior team members when necessary.
- Maintain detailed technical documentation covering data mappings, report logic, technical notes, test evidence, user guides, operational procedures, and other documentation required for long-term support and knowledge sharing.
- Collaborate with global teams across the US and India, participating in team meetings, sprint ceremonies, status discussions, knowledge-sharing sessions, and other activities required for effective analytics delivery.
- Use approved AI-enabled productivity tools responsibly for appropriate documentation, analysis, testing, and issue-investigation activities while validating AI-generated outputs before incorporating them into project deliverables.
