Job Description

BlackRock is looking for an Associate Full Stack Developer to join its Digital Platforms & Experiences team within the Global Marketing function in Mumbai, India. This team builds digital platforms and user-focused experiences that help investors, financial advisors, and institutional clients engage with BlackRock's products and services. The role emphasizes frontend engineering, modern web application development, and the delivery of scalable, accessible, and maintainable digital experiences. The Associate Full Stack Developer will primarily focus on frontend development using JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and modern frameworks, with Angular preferred and React considered an additional advantage. Responsibilities include designing application components, implementing new features, writing unit tests, maintaining coding standards, and improving existing web applications. Roles & Responsibilities

1. Develop Frontend Applications: Design, build, and maintain modern web application interfaces using JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and frontend frameworks, with a preference for Angular and additional value placed on React experience.
2. Architect Web Solutions: Contribute to frontend architecture, component design, and application structure to create scalable, maintainable, and reusable solutions aligned with business requirements and established web development standards.
3. Integrate AI into Development: Use appropriate AI-powered tools to support everyday coding, testing, debugging, and development activities while applying independent technical judgment and following relevant organizational practices.
4. Deliver Features End to End: Participate in the complete software development lifecycle, from understanding requirements and refining technical specifications to implementation, unit testing, deployment support, and feature delivery.
5. Write Clean and Testable Code: Follow coding standards and frontend best practices, develop reusable components, create meaningful unit tests, and improve code quality to support long-term application maintainability.
6. Maintain Existing Applications: Understand current systems, investigate defects, resolve operational issues, and collaborate with engineering colleagues to maintain application stability and minimize disruptions.
7. Collaborate with Global Teams: Work closely with UX designers, technical leads, project managers, business owners, analysts, and distributed engineering teams to coordinate requirements and deliver consistent digital experiences.

Requirements & Eligibility

1. Frontend Development Experience: Practical experience with at least one frontend framework, with Angular preferred and React considered a useful additional skill. Candidates should understand component-based development and modern web application structure.
