The Associate Software Engineer will work closely with experienced developers, architects, and cross-functional teams to create secure, high-performing, and scalable software solutions. Roles & Responsibilities

1. Design, develop, and maintain scalable software applications and backend services that support cybersecurity operations and enterprise threat detection systems.
2. Build and integrate REST APIs to enable seamless communication between applications, security tools, and automation platforms across the organization.
3. Participate in the research and development of innovative software solutions using modern programming languages, frameworks, and cloud technologies.
4. Collaborate with engineering teams to improve the GreyMatter platform by enhancing automation, scalability, performance, and user experience.
5. Contribute to continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) processes to ensure faster and more reliable software releases.
6. Perform code reviews and follow software engineering best practices to maintain code quality, consistency, security, and maintainability.
7. Work closely with product managers, QA teams, and business stakeholders to understand technical requirements and deliver effective software solutions.
8. Troubleshoot software issues, debug application errors, and optimize system performance to improve operational efficiency and reliability.
9. Support Agile software development practices including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, backlog refinement, and collaborative project execution.
10. Assist in automating development and deployment workflows to streamline software delivery and reduce manual operational tasks.
11. Learn and work with modern technologies such as Elasticsearch, Kafka, React, Angular, Hadoop, Spark, TensorFlow, and cloud infrastructure platforms.
12. Provide technical support and collaborate with fellow engineers to foster a culture of teamwork, innovation, and continuous improvement.

Requirements & Eligibility

1. Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related technical field with a strong foundation in programming concepts.
2. 0–1 years of experience in software development or programming through internships, academic projects, certifications, or practical training programs.
3. Knowledge of programming languages such as Python, JavaScript, Java, C#, or related technologies used in modern application development.
4. Familiarity with frontend frameworks like React or Angular and understanding of responsive web application development practices.
5. Basic understanding of databases, SQL queries, Elasticsearch, MySQL, or equivalent data storage and retrieval technologies.
6. Exposure to cloud platforms such as AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud Platform and awareness of cloud-based application deployment concepts.
7. Understanding of software development lifecycle practices, Agile methodology, version control systems, and CI/CD deployment workflows.
8. Knowledge of unit testing, debugging techniques, code optimization, and software quality assurance best practices.
9. Strong analytical thinking, troubleshooting abilities, and problem-solving skills with a passion for technology and innovation.
10. Good communication and teamwork skills with the ability to collaborate effectively in fast-paced and cross-functional engineering environments.
11. Exposure to big data or distributed technologies such as Kafka, Apache Spark, Hadoop, TensorFlow, Kibana, or Logstash will be considered an added advantage.
12. Relevant certifications, higher education qualifications, or participation in coding competitions and software development projects will strengthen the candidate’s profile.

Expected Salary

The expected salary for an Associate Software Engineer at ReliaQuest in Pune generally ranges between ₹6 LPA to ₹12 LPA depending on technical expertise, educational background, internship experience, coding proficiency, and knowledge of cloud or cybersecurity technologies.
