Job Description:

Enterpret is hiring Backend Members of Technical Staff in Bengaluru to help build scalable and intelligent backend systems that power its AI-native customer feedback platform. This role is ideal for software engineers who are passionate about backend architecture, distributed systems, and building highly reliable infrastructure for AI-driven applications. As part of the engineering team, you will contribute to systems that process massive amounts of customer data and deliver meaningful insights in real time.

In this role, you will work on designing and scaling backend services, data pipelines, and ML infrastructure that support high-performance AI applications. You will be responsible for translating complex and ambiguous product challenges into robust backend solutions with strong guarantees around correctness, reliability, and scalability. The position involves making critical architectural decisions related to data modeling, event-driven systems, service boundaries, and production infrastructure. You will also focus on monitoring, instrumentation, and system optimization to ensure long-term stability and operational efficiency.

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and scale backend systems that support Enterpret’s AI-powered customer feedback intelligence platform.
• Translate ambiguous product requirements into well-structured backend architectures with strong data consistency and correctness guarantees.
• Build and maintain APIs, microservices, and distributed systems capable of handling large-scale real-time data processing.
• Develop and optimize ML and NLP infrastructure to ensure reliable performance in production environments.
• Make critical engineering decisions around data models, event-driven architectures, and service communication boundaries.
• Implement deep monitoring, logging, and instrumentation systems to proactively detect failures and improve system reliability.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including AI researchers, product managers, and frontend engineers, to deliver high-impact features.
• Optimize backend systems for scalability, performance, cost efficiency, and long-term maintainability.
• Debug and resolve complex production issues involving infrastructure, databases, APIs, and distributed services.
• Drive engineering excellence through code reviews, technical mentorship, documentation, and continuous process improvements.

Requirements & Eligibility:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related technical field.
• 1–3 years of hands-on software engineering experience with a strong focus on backend development and scalable system design.
• Proficiency in backend programming languages such as Python, Java, Go, Node.js, or similar technologies.
• Strong understanding of distributed systems, APIs, databases, event-driven architectures, and microservices design principles.
• Experience building and deploying reliable production-grade systems with high availability and fault tolerance.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms, containerization technologies, and infrastructure monitoring tools.
• Understanding of ML or NLP infrastructure and experience integrating machine learning systems into backend applications is a plus.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical thinking skills with the ability to work effectively in ambiguous environments.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills with the ability to contribute effectively in a fast-paced startup culture.
• Passion for clean code, engineering quality, scalability, and continuous improvement in software development practices.

Expected Salary:

The expected salary for a Backend Member of Technical Staff at Enterpret in Bengaluru generally ranges between ₹18 LPA to ₹35 LPA for candidates with 1–3 years of experience.
