Job Description:

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement automation frameworks and test infrastructure to ensure high-quality software delivery.
• Collaborate closely with development teams to integrate quality engineering practices into the software development lifecycle.
• Design and execute automated test cases for functional, integration, and acceptance testing.
• Write clean, maintainable code using Java and testing frameworks such as TestNG and JUnit.
• Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines using tools like Jenkins or Bamboo for continuous testing.
• Perform code reviews and contribute to improving testability, performance, and reliability of applications.
• Validate APIs and services using RESTful technologies, ensuring proper data exchange and functionality.
• Work with databases to validate data integrity using SQL queries and testing techniques.
• Troubleshoot and debug issues in distributed systems, ensuring quick resolution and minimal downtime.
• Promote a quality-first culture by advocating automation, best practices, and continuous improvement.

Requirements & Eligibility:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field with strong programming fundamentals.
• 3–6 years of experience in software testing or quality engineering with a strong focus on automation.
• Proficiency in Java programming for developing automation scripts and frameworks.
• Hands-on experience with Selenium WebDriver and testing frameworks like TestNG, JUnit, or Spock.
• Experience with RESTful services, including JSON and XML data handling for API testing.
• Familiarity with version control systems such as Git or Bitbucket for collaborative development.
• Knowledge of CI/CD tools like Jenkins or Bamboo for integrating automated testing pipelines.
• Experience working in Agile development environments with cross-functional teams.
• Basic understanding of Linux systems and shell scripting for troubleshooting and automation.
• Knowledge of cloud-based applications, microservices architecture, and modern testing practices is a plus.

Expected Salary:

For a Software Engineer in Test (SDET) with 3–6 years of experience in Pune, the expected salary typically ranges between ₹12 LPA to ₹22 LPA, depending on expertise in automation frameworks, coding skills, and experience with CI/CD pipelines.
