Blis is looking for a skilled and technology-driven Support Engineer to join its Engineering team in Mumbai. The Support Engineer position plays a critical role in ensuring the smooth execution of digital advertising campaigns while acting as a bridge between campaign operations and engineering teams. In this role, you will support campaign delivery across the Blis platform by providing technical expertise, resolving operational issues, and ensuring seamless integration with third-party advertising technologies. You will work closely with campaign managers, creative teams, developers, and external partners to troubleshoot issues, validate campaign setups, and ensure advertising campaigns perform as expected. The position requires a strong understanding of web technologies, APIs, databases, networking concepts, and digital advertising platforms. Engineers will also participate in certification processes for new ad servers, media tools, and third-party integrations while maintaining high service standards and adhering to defined SLAs.

Roles & Responsibilities
- Support the campaign management team in the technical setup, configuration, and delivery of RTB advertising campaigns across the Blis platform.
- Collaborate with creative teams to build, host, and validate advertising creatives while ensuring all tracking mechanisms are implemented correctly.
- Investigate, troubleshoot, and resolve technical issues reported through Jira or other incident management systems within defined service level agreements.
- Perform campaign debugging activities to identify root causes of delivery issues and implement effective resolutions with minimal business impact.
- Validate campaign configurations and monitor campaign performance metrics to ensure accurate delivery and optimal operational efficiency.
- Assist engineering teams with testing activities for newly developed platform features, enhancements, and system integrations before deployment.
- Lead third-party certification processes for advertising technologies, ad servers, tracking solutions, and rich media providers.
- Analyze recurring technical issues, identify patterns, and proactively recommend improvements to reduce operational risks and future incidents.
- Support integration efforts involving APIs, mobile advertising platforms, tracking technologies, and external marketing systems.
- Document troubleshooting procedures, operational best practices, and technical solutions within the organization's knowledge management systems.
- Provide training and technical guidance to team members regarding platform updates, project rollouts, and newly implemented technologies.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth communication, issue resolution, and successful execution of client advertising campaigns.
Requirements & Eligibility
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
- 3–5 years of hands-on experience in software support, technical operations, system administration, application support, or related engineering roles.
- Strong understanding of Linux, Unix, and Windows operating systems, including troubleshooting and system-level support activities.
- Basic to intermediate knowledge of programming and scripting languages such as PHP, Java, JavaScript, HTML, and Shell Scripting.
- Experience working with databases such as MySQL and PostgreSQL, including data manipulation, query execution, and campaign-related updates.
- Good understanding of HTTP, HTTPS, REST APIs, networking concepts, and system integration methodologies.
- Familiarity with GitHub, GitLab, version control systems, and collaborative software development workflows.
- Practical experience using ticketing and incident management tools such as Jira for issue tracking and resolution management.
- Knowledge of mobile application technologies, Android and iOS ecosystems, and mobile advertising frameworks.
- Strong analytical thinking and troubleshooting skills with the ability to identify technical issues and implement effective solutions quickly.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and stakeholder management skills to work effectively across operations, engineering, and client-facing teams.
- Prior experience in the advertising technology, digital marketing, media technology, or ad operations industry will be highly advantageous.
Expected Salary
The expected salary for the Support Engineer role at Blis typically ranges between ₹8 LPA and ₹15 LPA depending on technical expertise, AdTech industry experience, database knowledge, troubleshooting capabilities, and software support experience.
