Roles & Responsibilities

  1. Design, develop, and implement high-quality software applications that deliver secure, scalable, and reliable user experiences across Twilio’s IAM platform.
  2. Collaborate with product managers, designers, engineers, and stakeholders to define requirements, design solutions, and deliver innovative product features.
  3. Develop modern front-end applications using React, TypeScript, JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and related web technologies.
  4. Build and integrate APIs, GraphQL services, and backend components to support seamless communication between applications and services.
  5. Participate in code reviews to maintain engineering standards, improve code quality, and promote software development best practices.
  6. Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve production issues while ensuring application performance, reliability, and stability.
  7. Own and operate high-scale cloud-based systems and services that support mission-critical authentication and authorization workflows.
  8. Write comprehensive technical documentation, design specifications, implementation guides, and operational procedures.
  9. Manage development tasks and project deliverables using tools such as GitHub, Jira, and deployment automation platforms.
  10. Contribute to testing initiatives by developing unit tests, integration tests, and automated test coverage for application features.
  11. Collaborate with distributed engineering teams to deliver features efficiently within agile development environments.
  12. Continuously evaluate emerging technologies and contribute ideas that enhance platform security, scalability, maintainability, and user experience.

Requirements & Eligibility

  1. Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related technical field from a recognized institution.
  2. Minimum of three years of professional software development experience with strong expertise in frontend engineering and modern web technologies.
  3. Advanced knowledge of React, TypeScript, JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and the broader front-end development ecosystem.
  4. Hands-on experience working with GraphQL, API integrations, RESTful services, and modern web application architectures.
  5. Strong understanding of object-oriented programming principles, component-based development, and software design patterns.
  6. Experience debugging complex production issues across distributed systems, repositories, and interconnected applications.
  7. Familiarity with modern testing frameworks such as Jest, Cypress, Mocha, Chai, or similar automated testing tools.
  8. Knowledge of responsive web design principles, cross-browser compatibility standards, and accessibility best practices.
  9. Experience using version control systems such as Git and collaborating within Agile or Scrum development methodologies.
  10. Understanding of cloud platforms, preferably AWS, and exposure to containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
  11. Strong communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills with the ability to work effectively in remote and globally distributed teams.
