Job Description:

Accenture is hiring an Application Support Engineer specializing in Automated Testing to strengthen its Packaged Application Development team in Mumbai. In this role, you will act as a problem solver and system guardian, ensuring the smooth functioning of critical business applications. As organizations increasingly rely on integrated digital systems, your responsibility will be to detect, diagnose, and resolve technical issues across multiple components. This position plays a vital role in maintaining system reliability, improving service quality, and supporting business continuity in enterprise environments.

As part of the application support function, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams including developers, testers, and business stakeholders to troubleshoot incidents and enhance system performance. Your expertise in automated testing will help streamline validation processes, reduce manual intervention, and ensure faster resolution cycles. By leveraging automation tools and structured testing methodologies, you will contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and maintain high service delivery standards aligned with organizational objectives.

This role also demands proactive learning and adaptability in a dynamic IT services landscape. You will be expected to independently manage tasks, participate in technical discussions, and gradually become a subject matter expert (SME). Through structured documentation, effective communication, and automation-driven support strategies, you will help Accenture deliver scalable, efficient, and high-quality enterprise solutions.

Roles & Responsibilities:

1. Monitor and support critical business applications by identifying, analyzing, and resolving technical issues across various system components to ensure uninterrupted operations.

2. Design and implement automated testing strategies that enhance software quality, reduce defects, and improve system stability.

3. Collaborate with development and infrastructure teams to troubleshoot incidents and provide timely solutions aligned with service-level agreements.

4. Participate actively in team discussions, knowledge-sharing sessions, and problem-solving workshops to contribute innovative ideas and technical insights.

5. Develop, execute, and maintain automated test scripts to validate application functionality and performance.

6. Document incidents, root cause analyses, and implemented solutions to ensure transparency and knowledge retention within the team.

7. Assist in optimizing testing frameworks and automation tools to increase efficiency and reduce manual effort.

8. Work towards becoming a Subject Matter Expert (SME) by gaining in-depth knowledge of business systems and application workflows.

9. Coordinate with stakeholders to communicate issue status, impact analysis, and resolution timelines effectively.

10. Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing application reliability, scalability, and user experience.

Requirements & Eligibility:

1. Minimum 2–5 years of experience in Automated Testing with strong hands-on expertise in designing and executing automation scripts.

2. Bachelor’s degree (15 years of full-time education) in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related discipline.

3. Strong understanding of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) methodologies including Agile and Waterfall models.

4. Experience working with test automation frameworks and tools to streamline validation processes.

5. Proficiency in scripting languages used for automation such as Python, Java, or similar technologies.

6. Familiarity with bug tracking systems and test management tools to ensure proper defect lifecycle management.

7. Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills to quickly identify root causes and implement sustainable solutions.

8. Excellent communication and collaboration skills to interact with cross-functional teams and business stakeholders.

9. Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and deliver results within tight deadlines.

10. Willingness to work onsite in Mumbai and adapt to dynamic enterprise project environments.
