As an Automation Engineer, you will design, develop, and maintain scalable iOS UI automation frameworks using XCUITest and XCTest, while also building robust web automation frameworks with Cypress. You will write reusable, maintainable automation scripts using Swift, Objective-C, and JavaScript/TypeScript. The role involves executing automated regression, smoke, and end-to-end test suites across multiple devices and browsers. Integration of test automation with CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions ensures continuous validation and faster release cycles in Agile/Scrum environments.

Beyond automation development, you will collaborate closely with development teams to improve testability, debug automation failures, and enhance test stability. Exposure to API testing, microservices architectures, SwiftUI testing strategies, performance testing, and BLE-based smart device integration testing adds depth to the role. Roles & Responsibilities:

1. Design, develop, and maintain scalable iOS UI automation frameworks using XCUITest and XCTest.

2. Build and maintain web automation frameworks using Cypress with JavaScript/TypeScript.

3. Write clean, reusable automation scripts following best practices in OOP and design patterns.

4. Integrate automated test suites into CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions for continuous testing.

5. Execute regression, smoke, and end-to-end tests across multiple iOS devices, OS versions, and browsers.

6. Perform API testing to support comprehensive end-to-end validation of enterprise applications.

7. Debug automation failures, reduce flaky tests, and optimize execution time for improved stability.

8. Collaborate with developers to enhance application testability and early defect detection.

9. Participate in Agile ceremonies, sprint planning, and code review discussions.

10. Generate test reports and communicate quality metrics effectively to stakeholders.

Requirements & Eligibility:

1. 5+ years of experience in automation testing within enterprise application environments.

2. Strong expertise in iOS UI automation using XCUITest and XCTest frameworks.

3. Hands-on experience in Cypress for web automation with JavaScript or TypeScript.

4. Proficiency in Swift and/or Objective-C for writing iOS automation scripts.

5. Strong understanding of iOS application lifecycle, UI elements, accessibility identifiers, and gestures.

6. Experience integrating automation frameworks with CI/CD tools such as GitHub Actions.

7. Solid foundation in object-oriented programming (OOP), automation design principles, and testing methodologies.

8. Experience in API testing and validation within microservices-based architectures.

9. Familiarity with version control systems such as GitHub.

10. Excellent communication skills and experience working within Agile/Scrum distributed teams.

Good to Have:

• Knowledge of SwiftUI testing strategies and performance testing for iOS applications.

• Exposure to BDD/TDD practices.

• Experience with BLE or hardware-integrated mobile applications.

• Familiarity with Qase test management tools and AI-assisted QA tools like Aiden.

Expected Salary:

For an Automation Engineer with 5+ years of experience in iOS and web automation in India (remote), the expected salary typically ranges between ₹18 LPA to ₹30 LPA depending on expertise in XCUITest, Cypress, CI/CD integration, and enterprise application testing.
