In this role, you will design, develop, and maintain automation frameworks using Selenium WebDriver, Java, TestNG, and Maven. You will also work on API automation using REST Assured or Karate, ensuring seamless integration and validation of backend systems. The role requires a strong understanding of software testing methodologies and the ability to analyze and improve QA processes across the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC).

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Design and develop scalable automation testing solutions for various projects, ensuring efficiency and reliability in testing processes.
• Implement automation scripts using Selenium WebDriver with Java, ensuring robust and maintainable test coverage.
• Work on API automation using REST Assured or Karate to validate backend services and integrations.
• Monitor and improve QA processes by analyzing testing outcomes across different stages of SDLC and STLC.
• Perform functional, regression, integration, and performance testing using tools like JMeter to ensure system stability.
• Collaborate with development and product teams to understand requirements and ensure comprehensive test coverage.
• Utilize version control systems like Git to manage automation scripts and maintain code integrity.
• Write SQL queries for database validation, ensuring data accuracy and consistency across applications.
• Use test management tools such as JIRA and TestRail to track defects, manage test cases, and maintain documentation.
• Continuously enhance automation frameworks and testing methodologies to improve efficiency and reduce manual effort.

Requirements & Eligibility:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, with strong foundational knowledge in software testing and development.
• 4–6 years of experience in automation testing, with proven expertise in Selenium WebDriver using Java.
• Strong knowledge of TestNG framework and build tools like Maven for managing automation projects.
• Hands-on experience in API automation using REST Assured or Karate for backend validation.
• Proficiency in programming and scripting languages such as Java, Python, SQL, and Shell scripting.
• Experience with version control systems like Git, enabling efficient collaboration and code management.
• Strong understanding of SQL and database testing, including writing complex queries for data validation.
• Familiarity with test management tools such as JIRA and TestRail for tracking and reporting defects.
• Knowledge of performance testing tools like JMeter, enabling system benchmarking and optimization.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.

Expected Salary:

For an Automation QA Engineer with 4–6 years of experience in Pune, the typical salary ranges between ₹8 LPA to ₹18 LPA, depending on expertise in Selenium, API automation, and performance testing.
