Wipro Limited is hiring a Test Engineer L4 in Pune to strengthen its quality engineering and API automation capabilities within large-scale digital transformation programs. The role requires strong expertise in API automation testing along with a solid understanding of business requirements and testable outcomes. You will contribute to test planning, define in-scope and out-of-scope criteria, and support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) processes. A key responsibility includes implementing Wipro’s model-based testing methodologies and automating the test lifecycle using tools such as VB macros, scheduling utilities, and GUI automation frameworks. You will collaborate closely with development teams to identify test cases, track defects, and ensure version consistency while minimizing rework through peer-reviewed test artifacts.

In addition to technical execution, this role emphasizes customer focus and performance accountability. You will design and release test dashboards, maintain accurate reporting in test management systems, and ensure timely communication with stakeholders. By detecting defects early, preparing structured reports, and maintaining high-quality documentation, the Test Engineer L4 contributes directly to customer satisfaction, operational excellence, and seamless digital product delivery.

Roles & Responsibilities:

1. Understand business requirements and translate them into comprehensive test cases and scenarios.
   Ensure full coverage of functional and non-functional specifications.

2. Develop detailed test plans and define scope, parameters, and acceptance criteria.
   Support UAT cycles and ensure alignment with client expectations.

3. Implement model-based testing approaches as per Wipro’s testing framework.
   Optimize test case generation and reduce redundancy.

4. Perform API automation testing to validate service integrations and backend workflows.
   Ensure data integrity, response accuracy, and performance compliance.

5. Automate the test lifecycle using VB macros, GUI automation, and scheduling tools.
   Enhance testing efficiency and improve repeatability of regression cycles.

6. Design and execute automation frameworks with clear reporting mechanisms.
   Maintain traceability between requirements, test cases, and defects.

7. Detect, log, and track defects with detailed replication steps and documentation.
   Ensure timely resolution in collaboration with development teams.

8. Publish test status dashboards and execution reports at the end of each cycle.
   Maintain transparency with stakeholders and leadership teams.

9. Update effort tracking tools such as eCube, TMS, and other repositories accurately.
   Ensure compliance with internal performance metrics and SLAs.

10. Maintain proactive customer communication through emails, calls, and structured reporting.
    Ensure zero complaint scenarios and high CSAT scores.

11. Provide usability and serviceability feedback to stakeholders.
    Identify potential quality risks and recommend mitigation strategies.

Requirements & Eligibility:

1. Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related discipline.
   Strong foundational knowledge in software development and testing practices.

2. 5–8 years of experience in software testing and quality engineering.
   Proven track record of handling enterprise-level projects.

3. Mandatory expertise in API Automation Testing.
   Strong understanding of RESTful services, request validation, and response verification.

4. Experience in automation tools and scripting including VB macros and GUI automation.
   Ability to design scalable automation frameworks.

5. Knowledge of Model-Based Testing methodologies.
   Familiarity with structured test case generation and optimization.

6. Strong understanding of SDLC, STLC, and UAT processes.
   Ability to work effectively in Agile or hybrid project environments.

7. Experience in defect management, reporting tools, and test dashboards.
   Clear documentation and analytical skills are essential.

8. Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.
   Capability to resolve queries within defined turnaround times.

9. Excellent communication skills and customer interaction experience.
   Ability to maintain professional business etiquette in all engagements.

10. Strong focus on SLA compliance, on-time delivery, and quality metrics.
    Demonstrated ability to maintain high testing efficiency standards.

Expected Salary:
