This role is designed for professionals with strong hands-on expertise in JMeter, LoadRunner, and NeoLoad who can ensure high-performing, scalable, and resilient enterprise applications for global clients. As part of Infosys’ digital transformation initiatives, you will work on large-scale systems, validating application performance and identifying bottlenecks before production releases. The position requires a strong understanding of performance testing methodologies and the ability to translate client requirements into robust performance validation strategies.

In this role, you will gather detailed system requirements, contribute to estimation activities, and design comprehensive performance test plans. You will execute load, stress, endurance, and spike tests while capturing key metrics such as response time, throughput, CPU utilization, and memory consumption. Working closely with Technology Leads and Project Managers, you will analyze test results, identify system constraints, and recommend optimization strategies. The role emphasizes continuous improvement, automation-driven testing, and client-centric delivery, ensuring reliable and scalable applications that support enterprise digital journeys.

Roles & Responsibilities

  1. Design and execute end-to-end performance testing strategies using JMeter, LoadRunner, and NeoLoad across enterprise applications.

  2. Gather and analyze client requirements to define performance objectives, workload models, and success criteria.

  3. Develop detailed Performance Test Plans covering scope, environment setup, risk assessment, and test scenarios.

  4. Conduct load, stress, endurance, and volume testing to evaluate system scalability and stability.

  5. Implement parameterization and correlation techniques to simulate realistic user behavior.

  6. Monitor and analyze key performance metrics including response time, throughput, error rates, CPU, and memory utilization.

  7. Collaborate with development and infrastructure teams to identify bottlenecks and recommend performance improvements.

  8. Contribute to project estimations and planning activities by assessing testing scope and complexity.

  9. Prepare comprehensive performance test reports and present findings to stakeholders and client teams.

  10. Continuously enhance performance engineering practices, integrating automation and CI/CD pipelines where applicable.

Requirements & Eligibility

  1. Bachelor of Engineering or equivalent technical qualification in Computer Science, IT, or related discipline.

  2. 5–10 years of experience in Performance Testing with strong hands-on expertise in JMeter, LoadRunner, and NeoLoad.

  3. Solid understanding of performance testing concepts including workload modeling, bottleneck analysis, and capacity planning.

  4. Experience in performance test script development, execution, analysis, and reporting.

  5. Knowledge of application architecture, APIs, and database interactions to identify system-level constraints.

  6. Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and integration of performance testing within release cycles.

  7. Exposure to mobile performance testing using LoadRunner is an added advantage.

  8. Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills to identify root causes of performance issues.

  9. Good communication skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and client stakeholders.

  10. Ability to work across multiple project environments and manage deadlines in dynamic delivery settings.

Expected Salary

The average salary for a Performance Test Engineer with 5–10 years of experience in India typically ranges between β‚Ή10 LPA to β‚Ή20 LPA, depending on tool expertise, project complexity, and client exposure. Professionals with strong multi-tool proficiency (JMeter, LoadRunner, NeoLoad) and performance engineering knowledge may command higher compensation packages in large IT services organizations. Additional benefits may include performance bonuses, learning certifications, and structured career growth pathways.
