Job Description:

In this role, you will learn how to use HERE’s advanced spatial tools to create and maintain high-quality digital maps. You will gain practical exposure to navigation attributes such as addresses, road classifications, and traffic rules while ensuring adherence to strict quality standards. Additionally, you will support data preparation tasks like cleaning, deduplication, and formatting datasets, building a strong foundation in data engineering practices. The role also introduces you to AI/ML workflows, including data annotation and training support, enabling you to understand how intelligent systems are built.

This one-year contract role emphasizes continuous learning, mentorship, and skill development. You will collaborate with experienced professionals, contribute to internal tools and proof-of-concept applications, and enhance your technical capabilities. Roles & Responsibilities:

• Learn and apply HERE’s spatial tools to create and update digital maps, ensuring accuracy in navigation attributes such as addresses, road classifications, and intersections.
• Develop mapping and attribution skills through hands-on practice with real-world data under the guidance of experienced mentors.
• Follow database standards and quality guidelines to ensure consistency and accuracy in mapping data and outputs.
• Assist in data preparation tasks, including cleaning, deduplication, filtering, and formatting datasets for analysis and processing.
• Support AI/ML initiatives by contributing to data annotation, training dataset preparation, and basic model support activities.
• Collaborate with senior team members to build or maintain simple software tools and proof-of-concept applications for process improvement.
• Participate in training sessions and continuously enhance technical knowledge related to mapping, data engineering, and AI technologies.
• Analyze and troubleshoot data-related issues, ensuring high-quality outputs and efficient workflows.
• Work closely with cross-functional teams to understand project requirements and deliver assigned tasks effectively.
• Maintain proper documentation of processes, workflows, and technical tasks for knowledge sharing and future reference.

Requirements & Eligibility:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, AI/DS, or a related field from a recognized university.
• Basic knowledge of programming languages such as Python, Java, or C, with an understanding of coding fundamentals.
• Familiarity with web technologies or frameworks such as React.js or Node.js is an added advantage.
• Basic understanding of databases like MySQL, MongoDB, or PostgreSQL, including data handling concepts.
• Knowledge of data structures and algorithms, providing a strong foundation for technical problem-solving.
• Exposure to Machine Learning, Data Science, or Artificial Intelligence concepts is preferred but not mandatory.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail and debugging capabilities.
• Good communication skills, both written and verbal, to collaborate effectively with team members.
• Willingness to learn new technologies and adapt to a dynamic work environment.
• Ability to work in a structured, office-based setup and manage tasks efficiently within deadlines.

Expected Salary:

The expected salary for a Trainee (Technology) role at HERE Technologies in Mumbai typically ranges between ₹3 LPA to ₹5 LPA, depending on academic background and technical skills.
