Job Description:

Crescendo Global is hiring a Senior Test Engineer for a leading global organization in the Technology & Analytics domain based in Mumbai. This role is ideal for experienced QA professionals who are passionate about delivering high-quality software and ensuring robust system performance across complex digital platforms. As a Senior Test Engineer, you will be responsible for developing test strategies, implementing automation frameworks, and validating enterprise-grade applications. Your work will directly impact the reliability, usability, and performance of modern technology solutions used across multiple industries.

In this role, you will collaborate closely with developers, product managers, and cross-functional teams to identify potential risks and ensure that software releases meet the highest quality standards. You will conduct various testing activities including functional testing, regression testing, integration testing, and performance validation. Leveraging automation tools such as Selenium and programming languages like Python, Java, or C#, you will optimize testing efficiency and reduce manual effort. The role requires strong analytical skills to identify defects early and ensure seamless system performance.

Beyond test execution, you will contribute to continuous improvement initiatives by refining testing frameworks, adopting new automation tools, and implementing industry best practices. As a senior member of the QA team, you will mentor junior testers, support Agile development workflows, and collaborate with DevOps teams to integrate automated testing into CI/CD pipelines. Roles & Responsibilities:

1. Design and implement comprehensive test strategies, test plans, and detailed test cases for enterprise software applications.

2. Perform functional, regression, integration, and performance testing to ensure application reliability and stability.

3. Develop and execute automated test scripts using tools such as Selenium to improve testing efficiency.

4. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify potential risks and ensure high-quality software delivery.

5. Analyze test results, document findings, and work with development teams to resolve defects effectively.

6. Maintain and enhance test automation frameworks and testing tools used within the QA environment.

7. Participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, backlog refinement, and release validation activities.

8. Integrate automated testing processes into CI/CD pipelines to support continuous integration and deployment workflows.

9. Mentor junior testers by sharing technical knowledge and promoting best practices in quality assurance.

10. Continuously improve testing processes by adopting modern QA methodologies and industry standards.

Requirements & Eligibility:

1. Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.

2. 5–8 years of experience in software testing, quality assurance, or related QA engineering roles.

3. Strong understanding of testing methodologies including functional, regression, integration, and performance testing.

4. Hands-on experience with automation testing tools such as Selenium or similar frameworks.

5. Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Java, or C# for automation scripting.

6. Solid understanding of Agile development methodologies and DevOps principles.

7. Experience with defect tracking and test management tools such as JIRA or equivalent platforms.

8. Strong debugging, troubleshooting, and root cause analysis skills.

9. Familiarity with cloud platforms and CI/CD pipelines is considered an advantage.

10. Excellent communication, teamwork, and analytical skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with global teams.

Expected Salary:

For a Senior Test Engineer with 5–8 years of experience in Mumbai’s technology and analytics sector, the typical salary range generally falls between ₹12 LPA to ₹20 LPA depending on expertise in automation testing, programming languages, and DevOps integration. Candidates with strong automation frameworks and cloud-based testing experience may receive compensation toward the higher end of industry benchmarks.
