Job Description:

Siemens Limited is seeking an experienced Logistics Supervisor to join its Mobility division in Nashik. This role focuses on leading end-to-end logistics, production scheduling, and material planning for converters and railway signaling products. You will be responsible for ensuring smooth coordination between multiple functions including sales, production, procurement, and quality to deliver projects on time and meet customer expectations. This position is ideal for professionals with strong expertise in SAP, production planning, and supply chain optimization who want to make a measurable impact on operational efficiency.

As a Logistics Supervisor, you will work at the intersection of production operations and customer delivery. Your responsibilities will span demand planning, inventory management, subcontractor coordination, and packing operations for domestic and international deliveries. You will monitor production schedules, address potential bottlenecks, and ensure that material availability aligns with business priorities. This is a highly collaborative role that requires working closely with cross-functional teams, implementing lean principles, and driving process improvement across the production cell.

In this role, you will also be a change leader—promoting digitalization initiatives, improving inventory turns, and ensuring compliance with quality and EHS standards. Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage logistics operations, production scheduling, and packing activities for converters and signaling products.

  • Perform demand planning in SAP based on sales forecasts, customer priorities, and production targets.

  • Maintain and optimize MRP master data such as lot sizes, sourcing models, and inventory classifications.

  • Ensure timely material availability through proactive planning, supplier follow-ups, and system-driven processes.

  • Coordinate with subcontracting suppliers to ensure timely receipt of assemblies and components.

  • Develop, monitor, and adjust production schedules to mitigate delays and ensure on-time delivery.

  • Collaborate with Sales, Procurement, Manufacturing, and Quality teams to ensure smooth material flow.

  • Implement inventory control measures to minimize excess, obsolete, and non-moving stock.

  • Lead PDCA cycles to continuously improve delivery capability, inventory turns, and operational efficiency.

  • Supervise packaging teams, enforce adherence to standards, and optimize packing processes to reduce waste.

  • Drive lean manufacturing initiatives, daily shopfloor management, and digitalization projects.

  • Prepare and publish regular MIS reports on production quantities, delivery performance, and logistics KPIs.


Requirements & Eligibility:

  • Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or Industrial Management.

  • 5–8 years of experience in logistics, material planning, and production scheduling in a manufacturing environment.

  • Hands-on experience with SAP (MM & PP modules) for planning, scheduling, and inventory management.

  • Strong leadership and coordination skills with the ability to work cross-functionally and manage teams effectively.

  • Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles, continuous improvement methodologies, and shopfloor management.

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills to address bottlenecks and optimize workflows.

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities simultaneously.

  • Good communication and stakeholder management skills to align with internal teams and external suppliers.

  • Knowledge of EHS (Environment, Health & Safety) and quality compliance standards for logistics operations.
