Job Description
Moody’s is on a mission to transform how the world understands and manages risk, and the Business Process Transformation Analyst plays a crucial role in making this vision a reality. This position focuses on improving, standardizing, and optimizing business processes — particularly within Commercial Contracting — to drive operational efficiency and regulatory compliance. The analyst will work with cross-functional teams, analyze existing workflows, and recommend solutions that align with Moody’s commitment to innovation, accuracy, and excellence.
As a Process Transformation Analyst, you will act as the bridge between business, technology, and compliance teams to ensure seamless execution of strategic initiatives. The role involves deep analytical work, such as conducting root cause and cost-benefit analyses, as well as hands-on process management through Lean or Six Sigma methodologies. By leading process improvement projects, you’ll help streamline Moody’s contracting operations, reduce risks, and improve turnaround times — directly impacting customer satisfaction and business growth.
Beyond process execution, this role emphasizes data-driven decision-making and performance monitoring. The analyst will design measurable KPIs, develop dashboards using tools like Power BI, and prepare insightful presentations for senior stakeholders. It’s an opportunity to combine analytical acumen, communication finesse, and project management expertise to contribute meaningfully to Moody’s transformation journey.
Roles & Responsibilities
-
Oversee and execute business process management activities for the Commercial Contracting division, ensuring compliance and control integrity.
-
Identify inefficiencies in current workflows and implement Lean or Six Sigma-based process improvements to boost productivity.
-
Collaborate with process owners, legal teams, and technology groups to coordinate end-to-end transformation projects.
-
Analyze process performance through defined metrics and report actionable insights to management using tools like Power BI or Excel.
-
Develop and maintain governance controls in line with Moody’s Risk and Control Self-Assessment (RCSA) standards.
-
Participate in change management activities to ensure smooth transitions of improved processes into standard business operations.
-
Create detailed PowerPoint presentations and reports to communicate project progress and transformation outcomes to senior leaders.
-
Handle stakeholder communications effectively, ensuring all parties are aligned on process goals and timelines.
-
Support process documentation, audits, and remediation plans following internal control assessments.
-
Contribute to continuous improvement culture by managing a backlog of innovative process enhancement ideas.
Requirements & Eligibility
-
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, Engineering, Accounting, Law, or Science from a recognized institution.
-
0–3 years of professional experience in data analysis, business process management, financial analysis, or reporting.
-
Strong analytical abilities with expertise in root cause analysis, cost-benefit analysis, and process diagnostics.
-
Familiarity with project management frameworks — including planning, execution, and performance monitoring.
-
Highly organized with excellent documentation and process-tracking skills to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously.
-
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for effective collaboration with global teams and senior stakeholders.
-
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Power BI, and PowerPoint for data analysis and presentation creation.
-
Knowledge or certification in Lean, Six Sigma, or PMP is desirable but not mandatory.
-
Strong attention to detail and an ability to translate analytical findings into actionable business recommendations.
-
A proactive learner who demonstrates curiosity, integrity, and commitment to Moody’s core values.
