Job Description

J.P. Morgan is seeking a skilled Testing Analyst to join its Asset & Wealth Management technology team in Bengaluru. In this role, you will be responsible for performing User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and ensuring that critical financial systems operate accurately and efficiently. The position plays a key role in validating technology platforms that support wealth management operations, investment management systems, and financial data processing. As a Testing Analyst, you will help ensure that newly released features and system enhancements meet business requirements and maintain the highest standards of software quality.

The role involves conducting regression testing, functional testing, and system validation across multiple applications used within wealth management operations. You will collaborate with technology teams, operations teams, and business stakeholders to validate system outputs, prepare comprehensive test data, and ensure accurate data processing across platforms. By running parallel system validations and analyzing testing results, you will help ensure that financial data and transaction processes remain reliable and compliant with industry standards.

Additionally, the Testing Analyst will contribute to improving testing processes and supporting automation initiatives within the organization. You will document test cases, manage defect tracking, and generate reports that help leadership make informed decisions about software releases. This role offers exposure to financial technology systems, investment platforms, and enterprise testing practices used within a leading global financial institution.


Roles & Responsibilities

  • Perform regression and functional User Acceptance Testing (UAT) for applications that support asset and wealth management business operations.

  • Design and document comprehensive test cases, test scenarios, and test scripts that ensure end-to-end testing coverage across financial systems.

  • Conduct parallel testing runs to validate results between new system releases and existing platforms.

  • Prepare and manage high-quality test datasets required for validating complex financial transactions and system workflows.

  • Identify, analyze, and document software defects while working closely with development and operations teams to resolve issues efficiently.

  • Track defect trends and provide detailed testing reports to support decision-making during software release cycles.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including technology engineers, operations analysts, and business stakeholders to ensure system reliability.

  • Support improvements in testing methodologies by contributing to automation initiatives and process optimization strategies.

  • Maintain clear documentation of testing activities, results, and system validation procedures for audit and compliance purposes.

  • Participate in release planning, testing cycles, and project discussions within agile or iterative development environments.


Requirements & Eligibility

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Finance, Engineering, or a related discipline.

  • Experience in software testing, quality assurance, or technical support roles involving test planning and test execution.

  • Understanding of financial operations such as accounting, reconciliation processes, or trade processing within financial systems.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills required to analyze system outputs and identify defects effectively.

  • Hands-on experience creating test scenarios, test cases, and test documentation for enterprise applications.

  • Familiarity with defect tracking tools, test management platforms, and software development lifecycle processes.

  • Strong communication skills required to collaborate effectively with global teams and communicate testing outcomes clearly.

  • Ability to manage multiple testing activities across different applications and releases simultaneously.

  • Experience working within agile development environments and collaborating with cross-functional teams.

  • Exposure to test automation tools or frameworks is considered an advantage.


Expected Salary
