Unisys is hiring an Associate Engineer – Software Application Engineer (AB Suite) in Bangalore for an entry-level software engineering opportunity focused on enterprise application development, maintenance, testing, and support. Roles & Responsibilities

• Develop AB Suite applications: Participate in designing, developing, testing, and implementing applications using the Unisys Agile Business Suite while following established technical and engineering standards.
• Build application components: Assist senior developers in creating and enhancing Ispecs, Reports, Classes, Methods, Services, and other application components required for enterprise business systems.
• Debug application code: Investigate application defects and technical issues, analyze code behavior, identify potential causes, and implement appropriate fixes under the guidance of experienced engineers.
• Perform unit testing: Create and execute unit tests for assigned application components to validate functionality, identify defects, and improve the reliability of developed software.
• Support application maintenance: Participate in L2/L3 application support activities by analyzing reported issues, troubleshooting production problems, and helping resolve incidents within agreed service levels.
• Handle application enhancements: Implement approved code changes, fixes, and enhancements to existing business applications while maintaining compatibility with established application functionality.
• Support deployment activities: Assist with application deployment, implementation, validation, and post-deployment activities to help ensure successful delivery of software changes.
• Work with enterprise technologies: Develop practical knowledge of AB Suite, EAE, ClearPath MCP, MARC, CANDE, WFL, COMS, DMSII, and other technologies used within the assigned application environment.
• Work with databases: Support applications that interact with SQL Server, Oracle, DMSII, or other relational database systems while developing an understanding of database-driven enterprise applications.
• Collaborate with technical teams: Work closely with senior developers, technical leads, business analysts, and globally distributed teams to understand requirements, resolve issues, and complete assigned development activities.
• Follow quality processes: Apply secure coding practices, software development standards, Agile processes, SDLC procedures, testing guidelines, and organizational quality requirements throughout development activities.
• Contribute to improvement initiatives: Participate in code reviews, knowledge-sharing activities, automation opportunities, process improvements, and transition or knowledge-acquisition activities when required.

Requirements & Eligibility

• Educational qualification: Candidates should have a BA/BS degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience. A degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related technical discipline can provide a strong foundation.
• Entry-level experience: The position is designed for candidates with approximately 0–3 years of experience in application development, software support, testing, maintenance, or related technical activities.
• Programming fundamentals: Candidates should understand basic programming concepts, software development principles, variables, control structures, functions, debugging, and general application-development practices.
