Description

The Analytics Engineer – Analyst role at Huron is an entry-level opportunity for candidates looking to build a strong career in data engineering, business intelligence, data analytics, data modeling, and reporting. Based in Bangalore’s Outer Ring Road area, this hybrid position provides exposure to the complete analytics delivery lifecycle. The selected candidate will work alongside Data Engineers, Power BI Developers, Data Architects, QA professionals, team leads, and business stakeholders across Huron’s India and US operations. The role involves understanding business requirements, preparing and analyzing data, developing datasets and reports, testing analytical solutions, maintaining documentation, and supporting production environments. It is particularly suitable for graduates and early-career professionals who want practical experience with modern enterprise data and analytics solutions.

A major part of the position involves transforming raw business data into reliable and useful analytical solutions. Candidates will support ETL and ELT processes, data extraction, transformation, loading, mapping, reconciliation, validation, and data-quality checks. The role also includes writing SQL queries and Python scripts for data preparation, automation, reporting, and validation, along with developing Microsoft Power BI dashboards and reports. Analysts will gain experience working with semantic models, relationships, dimensions, measures, joins, reporting requirements, and introductory DAX calculations. Exposure to cloud and modern data platforms such as Databricks, Azure Data Factory, AWS S3, AWS Glue, Redshift, and Snowflake can further strengthen the technical scope of the position.

Beyond technical development, the Huron Analytics Engineer position requires strong collaboration, documentation, testing, and problem-solving abilities. The analyst will participate in requirements discussions, document data definitions and reporting logic, support user acceptance testing, investigate data-quality issues, and help resolve problems involving report refreshes, visualizations, access, and performance. Because the role supports teams across different locations and time zones, effective communication and a willingness to collaborate in a global delivery environment are important. Huron also highlights responsible use of approved AI-enabled tools for activities such as documentation, analysis, testing, and issue investigation, with outputs expected to be reviewed and validated before use.
