Roles & Responsibilities

1. Develop Enterprise Applications: Design, develop, and enhance high-quality software solutions using Java, Spring Boot, microservices, REST APIs, and other industry-aligned technologies while maintaining scalable and maintainable code.
2. Build Microservices Solutions: Develop and support microservices-based applications using Core Java and Spring technologies while ensuring services communicate effectively and integrate with broader enterprise systems.
3. Implement REST APIs: Design, develop, integrate, and maintain RESTful APIs that enable reliable communication between applications, services, platforms, and business systems.
4. Optimize Application Performance: Analyze application performance, SQL queries, and system behavior to identify bottlenecks and implement improvements that increase efficiency, scalability, and reliability.
5. Work With Databases: Contribute to database design and development, optimize SQL queries, and apply appropriate performance-tuning techniques to support efficient data processing.
6. Participate in Code Reviews: Review peer code, identify potential defects or design concerns, and promote coding standards, maintainability, readability, security, and knowledge sharing across engineering teams.
7. Implement Testing Practices: Develop and maintain effective unit tests and participate in broader testing activities to ensure software functionality, reliability, code quality, and long-term maintainability.
8. Support CI/CD Processes: Work with GitLab, source control systems, and CI/CD practices to support automated and reliable software development, testing, and deployment workflows.
9. Resolve Production Issues: Investigate complex application and production problems, identify root causes, implement appropriate solutions, and provide timely technical support to minimize operational impact.
10. Follow Security & Controls: Apply secure coding practices, protect sensitive information, follow regulatory requirements, and ensure software development activities comply with applicable risk and security controls.
11. Collaborate Cross-Functionally: Work closely with product owners, business analysts, QA teams, designers, developers, and other engineering groups to translate business requirements into effective technical solutions.
12. Maintain Technical Knowledge: Keep up with emerging technology trends, AI-assisted development tools, cloud technologies, software architecture patterns, and engineering practices while contributing to technology communities and knowledge-sharing initiatives.

Requirements & Eligibility

1. Java Development Experience: Candidates should have strong practical experience with Java 8 or above, including Core Java concepts, object-oriented programming, multi-threading, exception handling, collections, and enterprise application development.
2. Spring Boot Expertise: Strong knowledge of Spring Boot is required, along with familiarity with Spring MVC, IoC, AOP, Spring JDBC, dependency injection, and other components of the Spring ecosystem.
3. Microservices & REST APIs: Candidates should understand microservices architecture and RESTful API development, including API creation, integration, service communication, error handling, and scalable application design.
