Job Description
🏢 Company Lanmea
💼 Role AI Software Intern
📍 Location Bangalore, India
⏳ Experience Fresher / Final Year
🔖 Job Type Full-time Internship
Description
Lanmea Group is hiring an AI & Software Engineering Intern in Bangalore for candidates who want to work at the intersection of software engineering, data, artificial intelligence, and business applications. The internship is designed around building practical technology solutions that are used in live environments across Lanmea's advisory and investment businesses. Rather than limiting the role to a single technical function, the intern will work across product, data, and engineering to create internal tools, dashboards, full-stack applications, data infrastructure, and AI-assisted workflows. This makes the opportunity particularly relevant for students and recent graduates interested in AI engineering, software development, full-stack development, data engineering, Generative AI, LLM applications, and automation. Lanmea emphasizes practical execution and gives interns an opportunity to see how technology can create measurable value in real business environments.
The role provides exposure to the complete journey of turning an idea or business workflow into a working technology solution. Interns may structure datasets and pipelines, develop internal software, prototype AI agents and automation workflows, evaluate different technology platforms, and contribute to architecture decisions. The position therefore goes beyond conventional coding and introduces candidates to important areas such as LLMs, Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), AI agents, workflow automation, vector databases, analytics, cloud infrastructure, and modern web development. Candidates are expected to be comfortable working across both frontend and backend technologies and should be willing to learn whatever is required to solve a business problem. The ability to evaluate whether a solution should be built internally or implemented using an existing platform is also part of the broader engineering exposure offered by this internship.
As part of a relatively small team, the selected candidate can take meaningful ownership of features and workstreams from an early stage. The internship provides exposure to multiple areas of the Lanmea Group, including B2B advisory, private markets, finance, marketing, and sustainability, giving technology-focused candidates an opportunity to understand how software and AI are applied outside traditional technology companies. The company describes the environment as international, transparent, and focused on direct communication and employee empowerment, with mentorship from experienced builders and advisors. This makes the position suitable for self-starters who have already built a project, application, tool, automation, or other side project and want to work on production-oriented systems. The internship is full-time, paid, lasts 2–4 months, and offers a monthly stipend of ₹30,000.
Roles & Responsibilities
- Build Internal Tools: Develop custom software, dashboards, utilities, and full-stack applications that solve practical operational and business problems across the Lanmea platform and its advisory businesses.
- Develop Full-Stack Solutions: Work across frontend and backend components to transform requirements and workflows into functional, maintainable applications that can be deployed and used by internal teams.
- Create Data Infrastructure: Structure business information into organized, queryable datasets and contribute to data pipelines that transform scattered information into reusable data assets.
- Develop AI Workflows: Prototype AI-assisted workflows, intelligent automations, and AI agents that can reduce repetitive work, accelerate processes, and support teams in making better decisions.
- Work With LLMs & RAG: Build or experiment with applications using large language models, Retrieval-Augmented Generation, vector databases, and related AI technologies for practical business use cases.
- Evaluate Technology Solutions: Research and assess different tools, platforms, frameworks, and technical architectures, considering factors such as functionality, scalability, cost, integration, and implementation effort.
- Make Build-versus-Buy Assessments: Compare whether a business requirement should be addressed through custom development or an existing technology platform and communicate the reasoning behind the recommendation.
- Ship Production Solutions: Take projects from workflow mapping and initial prototyping through implementation and delivery, ensuring that solutions are practical enough to operate in real-world environments.
- Support Analytics & Cloud Projects: Work with data platforms, analytics tools, and cloud infrastructure where required to support internal applications, data workflows, and AI-enabled systems.
- Document Technical Work: Convert technical implementations into clear solution outlines, documentation, case studies, and written explanations that can be understood by both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Collaborate Across Business Functions: Work with teams connected to advisory, investment, finance, marketing, and sustainability to understand business requirements and translate them into technology solutions.
- Take End-to-End Ownership: Independently manage assigned features or workstreams, identify problems proactively, experiment with solutions, and go beyond the initial requirements when there is an opportunity to create additional value.
Requirements & Eligibility
- Educational Qualification: Candidates should currently be in the final year of, or have recently completed, a degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, or a closely related technical discipline. Lanmea places greater emphasis on demonstrated ability and projects than on the exact degree specialization.
- Full-Time Availability: Applicants must be available to work on a full-time basis throughout the internship period. The opportunity is structured as a 2–4 month full-time internship.
- Modern Web Development: Candidates should be comfortable with modern frontend and backend development and should have an understanding of how different components of a full-stack application communicate and work together.
- Artificial Intelligence Skills: Hands-on experience with AI tools and Generative AI technologies is highly relevant. Candidates should ideally have experimented with LLM-based applications rather than relying only on theoretical AI knowledge.
- LLM & RAG Experience: Practical exposure to Large Language Models, Retrieval-Augmented Generation, AI agents, prompt engineering, workflow automation, vector databases, or open-source AI tooling can significantly strengthen an application.
- Data & Analytics Exposure: Familiarity with data platforms, analytics, structured datasets, data processing, dashboards, or related technologies is valuable for building the data infrastructure that supports business decision-making.
- Cloud Infrastructure: Candidates should have at least some exposure to cloud technologies or infrastructure concepts and understand the basic requirements involved in deploying and operating modern software applications.
- Problem-Solving Ability: Strong analytical thinking and the ability to approach ambiguous, real-world business problems systematically are important. Candidates should be comfortable researching unfamiliar concepts and developing practical solutions.
- Builder Mindset: Applicants should ideally have built something independently, such as a personal project, application, automation tool, AI solution, website, data platform, or side project. Demonstrated execution is valued more than simply listing technologies on a resume.
- Business & Industry Interest: Genuine curiosity about technology, finance, private markets, B2B advisory, or business operations is beneficial because the technology developed during the internship will directly support these areas.
Expected Salary
Lanmea has specified a monthly stipend of ₹30,000 for this full-time AI & Software Engineering Internship, equivalent to approximately ₹3.6 lakh on an annualized basis if the monthly rate were maintained for 12 months. This is a strong internship stipend compared with reported Bengaluru benchmarks: Glassdoor currently shows AI Intern base pay around ₹10,000–₹20,000 per month, while recent reported Bengaluru AI Intern entries include compensation around ₹26,000 per month and higher; the ₹30,000 Lanmea stipend therefore sits toward the stronger end of the typical AI internship market.
