Roles & Responsibilities

• Verify the accuracy, completeness, and compliance of mortgage appraisal documents and origination reports.
• Review appraisal statuses in systems such as RealEC and coordinate follow-ups with document management teams.
• Identify discrepancies, inconsistencies, and potential red flags within mortgage and appraisal documentation workflows.
• Coordinate with appraisal management companies and internal stakeholders to ensure timely processing of requests and documentation.
• Review underwriting conditions and perform necessary actions based on client and process requirements.
• Communicate effectively with clients, processors, and operational teams regarding appraisal updates and document requirements.
• Maintain accurate records, process documentation, and status updates within internal operational systems.
• Ensure adherence to mortgage processing guidelines, operational procedures, and quality standards.
• Handle customer service-related tasks with professionalism, accuracy, and attention to detail.
• Utilize MS Excel, Word, and PowerPoint for reporting, documentation, and operational tracking activities.
• Support process improvement initiatives to enhance workflow efficiency and service delivery standards.
• Work effectively within night shift operations and manage workload based on client requirements and business priorities.

Requirements & Eligibility

• Bachelor’s degree or graduation in any discipline from a recognized institution is mandatory.
• Minimum 1 year of work experience in the US Mortgage Industry or mortgage processing domain.
• Strong understanding of mortgage types, mortgage processing workflows, and appraisal documentation procedures.
• Knowledge of underwriting conditions, appraisal review processes, and mortgage origination operations.
• Good written and verbal communication skills for interacting with stakeholders, clients, and operational teams.
• Strong analytical thinking and detail-oriented approach for identifying documentation errors and process discrepancies.
• Ability to make informed decisions based on operational scenarios and mortgage processing requirements.
• Working knowledge of MS Office tools including MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Strong customer service mindset with ability to handle multiple operational tasks efficiently.
• Willingness to work in night shifts and weekends based on client and operational requirements.
• Ability to adapt to fast-paced operational environments and maintain process accuracy under pressure.
• Good organizational skills and capability to manage workload effectively within defined timelines.

Expected Salary

The expected salary for the Analyst role at Firstsource generally ranges between ₹3 LPA to ₹6.5 LPA depending on prior mortgage industry experience, communication skills, process expertise, and operational performance. Candidates with strong exposure to US Mortgage Processing, underwriting support, and appraisal management systems may receive higher compensation packages.
