Job Description:
The Manual Test Analyst role at Citi is a critical position within the organization’s operations and technology ecosystem, focusing on ensuring the quality and reliability of enterprise-level applications. In this role, you will collaborate closely with business stakeholders, program managers, and testing teams to define requirements and develop comprehensive test strategies. You will be responsible for creating detailed test plans, executing test cases, and validating application functionality against business requirements. The role emphasizes strong coordination, documentation, and execution skills to ensure seamless delivery across multiple testing phases.

Roles & Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather and analyze requirements, ensuring clarity in testing scope and objectives.
- Develop comprehensive test plans and test scripts aligned with business requirements and project timelines.
- Execute manual testing activities, including functional, regression, and user acceptance testing across applications.
- Manage defect lifecycle by logging, tracking, and retesting issues until successful resolution.
- Coordinate with program managers and testing teams to ensure proper test account setup and data conditioning.
- Prepare and deliver daily status reports, highlighting testing progress, risks, and defect summaries.
- Ensure all testing deliverables, including test plans and execution reports, are approved by relevant stakeholders.
- Validate test results and ensure alignment with business expectations before sign-off.
- Participate in testing exit processes, including preparing and submitting exit reports post code freeze.
- Maintain high-quality documentation and ensure compliance with testing standards and procedures.
Requirements & Eligibility:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, with strong fundamentals in software testing.
- 6–8 years of experience in manual testing, preferably in enterprise or financial domain applications.
- Strong understanding of Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC) and Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
- Experience in creating detailed test plans, test cases, and test scripts for complex applications.
- Proficiency in defect management tools and processes, ensuring efficient tracking and resolution of issues.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and resolve testing challenges.
- Excellent communication skills to interact with business stakeholders and technical teams effectively.
- Experience in preparing reports, dashboards, and documentation for testing activities.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Willingness to work in global time zones (e.g., EST working hours) and collaborate with international teams.
Expected Salary:
For a Manual Test Analyst with 6–8 years of experience in Chennai, the typical salary ranges between ₹10 LPA to ₹20 LPA, depending on domain expertise, stakeholder management skills, and experience in enterprise testing environments.
