Job Description
Takeda is hiring a Software Tester to join its Innovation Capability Center (ICC) in Bengaluru, working within the Plasma-Derived Therapies (PDT) business unit. This role focuses on ensuring the quality and reliability of applications within the Donor Information System (DIS) ecosystem, which supports device-integrated workflows and digital healthcare solutions. As a Software Tester, you will work closely with quality assurance teams, developers, and product owners to validate system functionality and ensure that device data interactions comply with functional and regulatory requirements.
The role involves executing comprehensive testing strategies across complex healthcare systems that integrate software applications, medical devices, and data platforms. You will design and execute test cases covering functional testing, regression testing, integration testing, and API validation. By analyzing system logs, device payloads, and data flows, you will help identify potential issues early and ensure that software applications perform reliably across different workflows and operational environments.
Additionally, the Software Tester will contribute to improving testing methodologies by incorporating modern approaches such as AI-assisted testing and data-driven validation techniques. The role includes supporting automation development, improving test coverage, and maintaining strong quality standards for healthcare technology platforms. Working in a collaborative Agile environment, you will help ensure secure, reliable, and compliant digital systems that support life-saving therapies and healthcare operations worldwide.
Roles & Responsibilities

Collaborate with development teams, product owners, and stakeholders to understand system requirements and testing needs.

Design and execute test scenarios based on product requirements, technical specifications, and device integration workflows.

Perform functional, regression, integration, and API testing to ensure application reliability and performance.

Assist in preparing test plans, validation checklists, and release readiness documentation.

Track and analyze quality metrics including defect trends, test coverage, and release cycle performance.

Perform API testing using tools such as Postman and validate system interactions across integrated platforms.

Contribute to automation testing using frameworks such as Selenium, Tosca, or JUnit.

Maintain and update automation scripts used for regression testing and continuous integration pipelines.

Analyze system logs, payload data, and device-generated datasets to identify anomalies and validate workflows.

Support testing initiatives involving performance validation, security checks, and data validation.
Requirements & Eligibility

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related technical field.

3–5 years of experience in software testing and quality assurance roles.

Strong understanding of functional testing, regression testing, integration testing, and API testing methodologies.

Experience working with testing tools such as JIRA, Tosca, Postman, and Jenkins.

Ability to write SQL queries for backend database validation and data verification.

Familiarity with Git-based version control systems for managing testing code and scripts.

Experience working in Agile development environments and participating in sprint-based delivery cycles.

Basic understanding of AI-assisted testing techniques and data-driven testing strategies.

Ability to analyze device-generated logs, payloads, and datasets for debugging and testing validation.

Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving abilities, and attention to detail.

Excellent communication and collaboration skills for working with cross-functional teams.
Expected Salary
The typical salary for a Software Tester with 3–5 years of experience in large multinational healthcare and technology organizations in India generally ranges between ₹10 LPA to ₹18 LPA, depending on technical expertise, automation testing experience, and knowledge of regulated healthcare systems. Candidates with experience in automation frameworks, CI/CD pipelines, and healthcare technology environments may receive higher compensation packages.
