Role Overview

Wipro is hiring a Test Engineer L3 to support product/platform testing and ensure 100% quality assurance compliance before client deployment. This role requires strong expertise in Playwright automation, test case design, and end-to-end test lifecycle management.

As part of Wipro’s digital transformation ecosystem, you will contribute to delivering high-quality, scalable, and automation-driven solutions aligned with SLA standards and customer expectations.

Key Responsibilities

🧩 Test Design & Planning

  • Understand business requirements and convert them into testable scenarios.

  • Design comprehensive test plans and peer-reviewed test cases.

  • Define testing scope, criteria, and parameters including UAT participation.

  • Apply model-based testing approaches aligned with Wipro standards.

⚙️ Automation & Execution

  • Develop and execute automated test frameworks using Playwright.

  • Automate lifecycle processes using VB macros, GUI automation, and scheduling tools.

  • Set up test environments and design validation scenarios.

  • Ensure automation coverage and reporting dashboards.

🐞 Defect & Reporting Management

  • Detect, document, and track defects with clear replication steps.

  • Publish test execution reports and dashboards at each test cycle.

  • Maintain SLA compliance and ensure zero slippages in deliverables.

  • Update project trackers (eCube, TMS, repositories) accurately.

🤝 Customer & Stakeholder Interaction

  • Ensure professional communication with clients (email, calls, reports).

  • Provide timely responses to customer queries.

  • Share usability and quality risk insights with stakeholders.

Mandatory Skills

  • Strong hands-on experience with Playwright automation framework.

  • Experience in automation lifecycle and test framework design.

  • Knowledge of GUI automation and scripting (VB macros preferred).

  • Understanding of SDLC, STLC, and Agile methodologies.

  • Strong defect management and reporting skills.

Experience Required

  • 3–5 years in software testing and automation roles.

Performance Expectations

  • 100% SLA compliance and minimal process exceptions.

  • High automation efficiency and reduced manual rework.

  • On-time test execution and dashboard releases.

  • Strong customer satisfaction (CSAT) scores.

Expected Salary

For a Test Engineer L3 with 3–5 years of Playwright automation experience in Chennai, expected compensation typically ranges between ₹8 LPA – ₹14 LPA, depending on automation expertise, framework design capability, and client-handling exposure.
