Job Description:
AppsTek Corp is hiring a Functional QA Engineer with 5–8 years of experience to support mission-critical mortgage technology systems. This role is focused on ensuring the stability, compliance, and accuracy of mortgage platforms such as loan origination, underwriting, servicing, and compliance systems. In this position, you will design and execute detailed test cases for mortgage workflows including loan origination, underwriting, disclosures, and regulatory validations. You will validate backend mortgage data using SQL queries and XML structures, analyze API responses for credit pulls and income verification services, and perform patch and production release testing in high-availability systems. The role also requires automation development using Java with Selenium for UI testing and Python for backend and API scripting. Integration of automated test suites with Jenkins and Azure DevOps will support continuous delivery practices.

Beyond execution, you will collaborate closely with developers, product managers, and business stakeholders in Agile environments to ensure high-quality releases. You will manage test plans and defect tracking through Azure DevOps, maintain comprehensive documentation for compliance audits, and provide visibility through stakeholder demos. Roles & Responsibilities:

1. Design and execute functional test cases covering mortgage workflows such as loan origination, underwriting, and compliance validations.

2. Validate backend data using SQL queries and XML structures across LOS, CRM, and underwriting systems.

3. Analyze API responses related to mortgage services including credit checks, income verification, and disclosures.

4. Perform patch testing, regression testing, and production release validation in high-availability environments.

5. Develop and maintain automation scripts using Java Selenium for UI and Python for backend/API validation.

6. Customize automation frameworks to align with evolving mortgage business requirements.

7. Manage test plans, execution cycles, and defect tracking using Azure DevOps (ADO).

8. Integrate automated test suites into CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins for continuous testing.

9. Participate in Agile ceremonies and collaborate with cross-functional teams to clarify requirements.

10. Maintain audit-ready documentation to support regulatory compliance and mortgage industry standards.

Requirements & Eligibility:

1. 5–8 years of experience in QA with strong expertise in manual testing and automation frameworks.

2. In-depth understanding of mortgage domain workflows, including LOS, AUS, disclosures, and compliance processes.

3. Proficiency in SQL for database validation and XML data structure testing.

4. Solid experience in API testing including request/response validation and error handling.

5. Hands-on experience with Java Selenium for UI automation and Python scripting for backend validation.

6. Experience working with Azure DevOps for test case management and defect lifecycle tracking.

7. Knowledge of CI/CD integration using Jenkins for automated testing pipelines.

8. Strong understanding of STLC, regression testing, smoke testing, and defect management processes.

9. Excellent communication and collaboration skills for cross-functional teamwork.

10. Ability to independently manage testing activities and ensure full lifecycle quality ownership.

Preferred:

• Experience with mortgage platforms such as Encompass, ICE Mortgage Technology, or Calyx.

• Knowledge of regulatory frameworks including CFPB, FHA, and Fannie Mae/Freddie Mac guidelines.

• Exposure to performance testing and test data management tools.

Expected Salary:

For a Functional QA Engineer with 5–8 years of mortgage domain experience in Hyderabad, the expected salary typically ranges between ₹12 LPA to ₹22 LPA depending on automation expertise, regulatory compliance knowledge, and experience with mortgage LOS platforms. Compensation may vary based on technical depth in API testing, CI/CD integration, and production support environments.
