Micro1.ai is seeking a motivated and curious Junior AI Engineer passionate about advancing real-world Generative AI solutions. As a Junior AI Engineer, you’ll contribute to the development of intelligent systems such as answering engines, summarization tools, and structured entity extraction services. Your responsibilities include building server-side APIs, supporting retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) pipelines, working with embedding stores and vector databases, and assisting in cloud deployments. You’ll be directly involved in bringing advanced AI capabilities into operational products used by internal teams or external customers, making a tangible impact on how intelligent automation is delivered.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Contribute to the design and development of GenAI applications including Q&A systems, summarizers, and extraction pipelines.

• Build, test, and debug REST APIs using Python frameworks such as FastAPI or Flask.

• Assist in creating and optimizing RAG pipelines, including data ingestion, embedding generation, and prompt experimentation.

• Work with vector storage and retrieval systems like Pinecone, FAISS, or similar databases.

• Collaborate with senior engineers and product teams to integrate AI modules into larger products and workflows.

• Participate in backend debugging, code reviews, and performance tuning for deployed AI services.

• Support cloud deployment efforts on platforms such as AWS or Azure, including setup of basic infrastructure and API endpoints.

• Stay curious and experiment with emerging AI orchestration tools and frameworks (e.g., LangChain, LangGraph).

• Maintain clear documentation of code, workflows, and deployment steps to support long-term maintainability.

Requirements & Eligibility

• 1–2 years of relevant experience or strong academic/project exposure in AI, ML, or backend engineering.

• Proficiency in Python — able to write readable, testable, and maintainable code.

• Hands-on experience with API frameworks like FastAPI or Flask for building backend services.

• Basic experience or familiarity with Generative AI concepts, including working with LLMs and prompt engineering.

• Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS or Azure) with at least foundational knowledge of deployment patterns.

• Experience collaborating with Git version control and tools like GitHub or GitLab.

• Comfortable learning new AI tools and technologies with growing responsibility over time.

• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to communicate technical ideas clearly with teammates and stakeholders.

Expected Salary

For the Junior AI Engineer role at Micro1.ai in India, the expected salary typically ranges between ₹8 LPA to ₹15 LPA, depending on experience, technical depth, and demonstrated AI or software engineering capability.
