Seagate: Intern – Dashboard and Analytic Tool Development

Seagate’s Corporate Quality group is seeking a motivated Intern to contribute to dashboard and analytic tool development. As part of the Global Quality Team, you will play a key role in building, maintaining, and enhancing Seagate’s Quality Management System. This internship provides an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in web and software development, data analytics, AI applications, and agile software practices.

The role offers exposure to enterprise-scale tools, Linux environments, and data pipelines, while also providing the chance to present your work to a wider audience and enhance both technical and soft skills.

Key Responsibilities

• Understand Seagate’s data management infrastructure and analytics pipeline.

• Participate in the design, building, and deployment of analytic infrastructure in Linux environments.

• Assist in the development of reporting and analytics tools, including work with Hadoop clusters.

• Contribute to the formulation and development of AI applications.

• Use the JIRA application tool for task tracking, workflow management, and project collaboration.

• Be actively involved in design decision-making and data strategy formulation, providing innovative ideas and fresh perspectives.

• Present your work to internal teams, enhancing communication and presentation skills.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Education: Undergraduate or graduate student in Computer Science, IT, Engineering, or related field.

• Technical Skills:

  • Proficiency in C, C++, Python, and/or TypeScript/JavaScript.

  • SQL/PostgreSQL for database querying and reporting.

  • Full-stack development experience and familiarity with Angular framework is a plus.

  • Exposure to Linux environments and containerization tools like Docker is preferred.

  • Knowledge of AI tools or experience working with AI applications is a plus.

• Agile & Collaboration: Experience working in projects following Agile software development process.

• Project Tools: Familiarity with JIRA workflow system.

• Strong teamwork, willingness to learn, and adaptability in a fast-paced environment.
