Job Description:

State Street is hiring an Automation Engineer (QA), Officer to join its Charles River Development (CRD) team in Pune. This role plays a critical part in ensuring the quality, performance, and scalability of enterprise financial platforms. As part of a globally recognized financial services organization, you will work on complex systems that support investment management and institutional clients. In this role, you will take ownership of designing and executing both manual and automated test strategies across UI and API layers. You will develop and maintain robust automation frameworks, integrate testing into CI/CD pipelines, and ensure comprehensive test coverage across releases. The role requires strong expertise in Java-based automation tools such as Selenium and Rest Assured, along with a deep understanding of Agile methodologies and software testing practices.

Additionally, this position emphasizes collaboration, ownership, and continuous improvement. You will work closely with developers, product managers, and QA teams to identify defects, improve testing processes, and enhance overall product quality. By contributing to release readiness and production issue analysis, you will play a key role in maintaining high standards of software delivery in a fast-paced and innovation-driven environment.

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain automated test suites for UI and API layers to ensure high-quality software delivery.
• Perform comprehensive manual testing, including functional, regression, integration, and exploratory testing.
• Build and enhance automation frameworks with a focus on scalability, reliability, and maintainability.
• Analyze business requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria to create effective and comprehensive test scenarios.
• Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines, ensuring continuous testing and rapid feedback on builds.
• Identify, document, and track defects with detailed reproduction steps and impact analysis.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams during Agile sprints to ensure timely delivery and quality assurance.
• Support release cycles, regression testing, and production issue analysis to maintain system stability.
• Ensure adherence to QA standards, best practices, and organizational quality guidelines.
• Continuously improve testing processes and tools to enhance efficiency and product quality.

Requirements & Eligibility:

• 10+ years of experience in software quality assurance with a strong focus on test automation and hands-on execution.
• Proficiency in Java programming, with experience in building and maintaining automation frameworks.
• Expertise in automation tools such as Selenium and Rest Assured for UI and API testing.
• Strong understanding of testing frameworks such as TestNG, Cucumber, and BDD-style methodologies.
• Solid experience in manual testing techniques, including test design, execution, and defect analysis.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and tools for automated test execution and continuous integration.
• Ability to write SQL queries for data validation and perform in-depth defect analysis.
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments with strong collaboration and communication skills.
• Knowledge of performance testing concepts and tools is an added advantage.
• Experience in financial services or enterprise-level platforms is preferred but not mandatory.
