Seagate Technology is offering an exciting Software Development Internship opportunity for passionate learners who want to explore real-world software engineering challenges. As part of Seagate’s dynamic customer experience team, you will help design and develop tools that keep global storage fleets healthy, predict device failures, and guide clients toward secure and optimized data management solutions. This role provides hands-on exposure to next-generation technologies, allowing interns to apply their technical knowledge in a professional, enterprise-grade environment.

In this position, you will work closely with a skilled development team to create efficient and scalable software solutions using C++ and Python. You’ll participate in coding, debugging, and feature enhancement tasks while learning how to build and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins. The role also involves containerization and orchestration work, giving you a practical understanding of DevOps practices and agile methodologies that drive modern software delivery.

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with the software development team to design, code, test, and debug applications written in C++ and Python.

• Contribute to developing new features, fixing bugs, and optimizing existing modules for better performance and scalability.

• Assist in designing and implementing CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins to automate build, testing, and deployment processes.

• Configure and manage Docker containers and orchestration tools to support seamless software deployment.

• Work on Linux/Unix-based systems for scripting, testing, and debugging software components.

• Participate in code reviews, ensuring adherence to best practices and high-quality software delivery.

• Document technical processes and support team members with troubleshooting and configuration management.

• Learn and apply principles of software design, testing, and version control using Git and GitHub workflows.

• Collaborate effectively in a diverse and global engineering environment, sharing knowledge and contributing to collective success.

• Stay proactive in learning new tools, technologies, and frameworks relevant to software engineering and DevOps.

Requirements & Eligibility:

• Currently pursuing or recently completed a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

• Strong understanding of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) principles and their application in real-world projects.

• Proficiency in C++ and Python; familiarity with Golang or Python GUI frameworks is an added advantage.

• Basic knowledge of Docker containers and container orchestration concepts.

• Exposure to GitLab or Jenkins CI/CD pipelines for automation and continuous integration.

• Comfortable working in Linux/Unix environments and performing command-line operations.

• Familiarity with version control systems like Git and GitHub workflow management.

• Excellent analytical thinking and problem-solving ability, with a detail-oriented approach to coding.

• Strong communication and collaboration skills, with eagerness to learn from peers and mentors.

• Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment with a willingness to explore emerging technologies.

Expected Salary:

The expected stipend for a Software Development Intern at Seagate Technology in Pune typically ranges from ₹25,000 to ₹45,000 per month, depending on educational level, technical expertise, and performance during the internship. Candidates demonstrating strong programming and DevOps skills may be offered extended internships or full-time employment opportunities post-program.
