OMP – Quality Assurance Test Engineer

Job Description:

OMP is seeking a skilled Quality Assurance Test Engineer to join its Pune-based team, focusing on delivering high-quality software solutions for global supply chain optimization. In this role, you will be responsible for designing and executing both manual and automated test strategies across web applications, APIs, and system integrations. You will develop comprehensive test scenarios, maintain automation frameworks, and ensure that testing processes are aligned with modern quality assurance methodologies. Working in a collaborative and agile environment, you will engage with developers, project managers, and consultants to deliver robust and efficient software solutions.

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and execute comprehensive test cases and automation scripts for web, API, and system-level testing.
• Create detailed functional and technical test documentation aligned with QA methodologies and best practices.
• Develop and maintain automation frameworks to ensure scalability, reliability, and efficiency in testing processes.
• Perform various types of testing, including functional, regression, integration, and load testing.
• Estimate testing efforts, prioritize tasks, and plan testing activities based on project requirements.
• Track, document, and manage defects, ensuring clear communication with development and project teams.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure quality is integrated throughout the software development lifecycle.
• Optimize and extend test environments to improve testing efficiency and coverage.
• Participate in continuous integration processes and ensure seamless integration of automated tests.
• Continuously improve testing methodologies, tools, and processes to enhance overall product quality.

Requirements & Eligibility:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, IT, Supply Chain, or a related field.
• 5–6+ years of experience in software testing, including hands-on experience with testing methodologies and tools.
• Strong expertise in test automation frameworks and best practices.
• Solid technical background with knowledge of web applications, APIs, and system integrations.
• Experience with scripting languages such as JavaScript or Python for automation tasks.
• Familiarity with CI/CD tools and environments such as Docker, Jenkins, and Git.
• Strong understanding of databases and ability to work with SQL/Oracle for data validation.
• Knowledge of REST APIs and modern web technologies.
• ISTQB certification or equivalent is an added advantage.
• Excellent problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

The expected salary for a Quality Assurance Test Engineer at OMP in India typically ranges between ₹10 LPA to ₹22 LPA, depending on experience, automation expertise, and domain knowledge.
