Roles & Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end quality engineering initiatives across web, mobile, and API platforms, ensuring consistent and scalable automation coverage.

• Design, develop, and maintain advanced automation frameworks using Java, Selenium, Rest Assured, Appium, and BDD tools such as Cucumber or JBehave.

• Drive early quality adoption by collaborating with architects and developers during design and development phases.

• Integrate automated tests with CI/CD pipelines using tools like Jenkins or Bamboo to enable continuous testing and faster releases.

• Oversee code quality, code coverage, and vulnerability scanning using industry-standard tools and practices.

• Mentor and guide quality engineers, fostering a high-performance culture focused on technical excellence and ownership.

• Lead performance engineering efforts, including profiling, load testing, and analysis to ensure system scalability and stability.

• Partner with product and program management to align quality goals with business priorities and customer expectations.

• Monitor quality metrics, defect trends, and release readiness to drive continuous improvement initiatives.

• Ensure compliance with Mastercard’s security policies, data protection standards, and regulatory requirements.

Requirements & Eligibility

• 8–12 years of overall experience in software automation testing, with strong exposure to enterprise-scale systems.

• Excellent Java coding skills, with the ability to design clean, maintainable, and extensible automation solutions.

• Strong expertise in test automation frameworks, including Selenium, Rest Assured, Appium, JUnit, and BDD/TDD practices.

• Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools and integration of automated tests into continuous delivery pipelines.

• In-depth understanding of software development life cycles, agile and waterfall methodologies, and testing standards.

• Proven leadership experience managing and mentoring quality engineers across multiple teams or programs.

• Solid knowledge of APIs, databases, and service-oriented architectures, including REST and SOAP services.

• Experience in performance engineering, JVM profiling, and load testing tools is highly valued.

• Exposure to cloud technologies, infrastructure-as-code concepts, and modern DevOps practices is desirable.

• Domain knowledge in payments processing, ISO message protocols, and transaction flows is a strong advantage.
