Job Description:
Hyosung T&D India Pvt Ltd is hiring an Engineer – Testing for its Pune facility, offering an excellent opportunity for professionals with experience in high-voltage electrical testing and power equipment validation. Operating within the manufacturing industry, this role focuses on executing and engineering high-voltage and power tests both in-house and at third-party laboratories. The ideal candidate will have hands-on exposure to electrical power equipment and strong familiarity with global standards such as ANSI, IEEE, IEC, and UL. This position plays a critical role in ensuring product safety, compliance, and performance before market release.
As a Testing Engineer, you will design and execute comprehensive test plans for high-voltage equipment, including systems rated at 38 kV or above. You will work closely with laboratory equipment such as oscilloscopes, data acquisition systems, and digital/analog sensors to validate performance metrics. The role involves supporting equipment installation and improvements within the testing facility to enhance operational efficiency. Additionally, you will coordinate and manage testing schedules for projects of varying sizes, ensuring timely execution and compliance with regulatory standards.

Roles & Responsibilities:

Design and execute high-voltage and power tests for electrical equipment, ensuring compliance with safety and performance standards.

Engineer and conduct tests both in-house and at accredited third-party laboratories as required.

Maintain updated knowledge of international standards including ANSI, IEEE, IEC, UL, and other regulatory frameworks.

Utilize laboratory equipment such as oscilloscopes, data acquisition systems, and sensors to capture and analyze test data accurately.

Support the design, construction, and installation of new testing equipment to enhance laboratory capabilities.

Develop detailed project schedules and coordinate testing activities to meet production timelines.

Manage testing projects ranging from minor validations to large-scale qualification programs with minimal supervision.

Analyze test results, identify anomalies, and recommend corrective actions for product improvement.

Ensure laboratory safety compliance and adherence to quality management standards during test execution.

Prepare comprehensive test reports and technical documentation for internal and external stakeholders.
Requirements & Eligibility:

Bachelor’s degree (BS) in Electrical Engineering, Physics, or a related technical discipline.

Minimum 3 years of experience in electrical test engineering, specifically within power equipment manufacturing environments.

Hands-on experience with high-voltage systems rated at 38 kV or above.

Strong understanding of electrical testing standards such as ANSI, IEEE, IEC, and UL.

Practical experience with laboratory testing equipment including oscilloscopes, analog/digital sensors, and data acquisition systems.

Ability to analyze electrical waveforms, test data, and performance characteristics of power systems.

Strong project management skills with ability to coordinate testing schedules independently.

Knowledge of safety practices and regulatory compliance within high-voltage testing laboratories.

Expected Salary:
For an Engineer – Testing with 1–5 years of experience in high-voltage and power equipment testing in Pune, the expected salary typically ranges between ₹5 LPA to ₹10 LPA depending on expertise in high-voltage systems and familiarity with global testing standards. Compensation may vary based on technical proficiency, hands-on laboratory experience, and project management exposure.
