Role Purpose

The Sr. Performance Engineer (Apps Support Tech Lead Analyst) is a recognized technical authority responsible for driving performance engineering, system enhancements, monitoring, and risk management. This role directly influences Citi’s technology strategy and ensures scalability, stability, and performance across applications and infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities

  • Partner with multiple technology teams to ensure proper integration and performance optimization.

  • Conduct in-depth system analysis: define scope, identify issues, recommend solutions.

  • Lead performance engineering efforts for Public Cloud (AWS, OpenShift) adoption.

  • Develop and document system requirements and performance metrics.

  • Identify risks, vulnerabilities, and security issues; propose and implement mitigation strategies.

  • Provide expert-level app support and guidance to stakeholders across IT and business.

  • Collaborate with Product Owners, Business Analysts, and Systems Analysts on requirements.

  • Mentor junior analysts and allocate work effectively within the team.

  • Use tools such as LoadRunner, AppDynamics, Splunk for monitoring and troubleshooting.

  • Ensure compliance with Citi policies, regulations, and risk frameworks in all deliverables.

Qualifications

✅ Experience: 6–10 years in Performance Engineering, Application Support, or related fields
✅ Education: Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree preferred
✅ Technical Skills: LoadRunner, AppDynamics, Splunk, AWS, OpenShift
✅ Strong problem-solving, analytical, and strategic thinking skills
✅ Proven experience in performance engineering, monitoring, and optimization
✅ Excellent leadership, interpersonal, and stakeholder management skills
✅ Ability to manage multiple projects in fast-paced environments

Salary Range

  • India (Pune): ₹24 LPA – ₹34 LPA (based on experience and certifications).

  • Global Equivalent: $130,000 – $155,000 annually.
