Citi – Banking Operations Specialist (Ops Support Specialist 4)

Job Description:
Citi is hiring a Banking Operations Specialist for its Operations – Core team in Pune. This entry-level role is designed for professionals who want to build a strong foundation in banking operations and process management.

As part of Citi’s global team, you will support day-to-day operations including account maintenance, records management, and workflow support. The role involves working closely with operations staff, relationship managers, project managers, custodians, and clients to ensure seamless banking processes. This position provides a strong platform for early-career professionals to gain end-to-end exposure to banking operations, compliance, and workflow management.

Roles & Responsibilities:

1. Execute established procedures to handle complex assignments, requiring research and investigation.

2. Provide team support—acting as a subject matter expert, guiding junior team members, and leading small projects.

3. Assist in training new hires and managing workflow within the team.

4. Conduct data-driven analysis and support operational risk mitigation activities.

5. Communicate key updates to senior managers and ensure compliance with organizational policies.

6. Support a wide array of Citi’s financial products and services.

7. Ensure adherence to regulatory requirements, risk management, and ethical business practices.

8. Work collaboratively across departments to support operations efficiency.

9. Prepare and manage documentation, records, and account maintenance.

10. Be flexible to work in rotational/night shifts (24x7 support environment).

Requirements & Eligibility:

1. Education: Bachelor’s degree (mandatory).

2. Experience: 0–3 years in operations, back-office banking, or retail banking operations.

3. Strong numerical and analytical abilities.

4. Proficiency with spreadsheets, databases, and other operational tools.

5. Excellent communication skills (written and verbal).

6. Demonstrated attention to detail and accuracy in operations.

7. Familiarity with banking operations, policies, and workflow management.

8. Ability to adapt to high-volume, fast-paced environments.

9. Willingness to work in rotational shifts and meet time-sensitive deliverables.

10. Team-oriented mindset with the ability to work independently when required.

Expected Salary:
