Job Description

Randstad is seeking a QA Automation Tester for a client-based opportunity in Gurgaon. This role combines manual and automation testing, with strong emphasis on Python-based scripting and API testing. You'll play a pivotal role in ensuring software quality across web, desktop, and API interfaces, driving both functionality and reliability in a fast-moving environment. Randstad

In this position, you'll write and execute manual test cases while building and maintaining automation frameworks for varied applications. You’ll work with tools like Postman for API testing, and technologies like Git, Jenkins, and bug-tracking systems to ensure seamless integration and delivery. Your responsibilities involve monitoring automation runs, identifying failures, reporting defects, and collaborating closely with developers to resolve issues. Experience with performance testing is a strong advantage. Randstad

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Create, execute, and maintain manual test cases for web, desktop applications, and APIs. Randstad

  • Design and manage automation test scripts and frameworks using Python and requests library. Randstad

  • Conduct functional, usability, interface, performance, and security testing across systems. Randstad

  • Use tools like Postman for API testing and validate outcomes via automation. Randstad

  • Monitor automation run outcomes, report failures, and manage defect tracking via Jira, Bugzilla, or similar tools. Randstad

  • Coordinate with developers to fix defects and refine frameworks, using version control tools like Git, GitHub, or TFS and CI tools like Jenkins. Randstad

  • Experience or exposure to performance testing is a plus and will enhance test coverage. Randstad

Requirements & Eligibility

  • 3–5 years of experience in automation testing of APIs and web applications, with proficiency in Python. Randstad

  • Strong background in both manual and automation testing, including desktop and API testing workflows. Randstad

  • Familiarity with testing across dimensions—functionality, usability, interface, performance, and security. Randstad

  • Hands-on experience with bug tracking tools: Jira, Bugzilla, MS Office, etc. Randstad
