PTC – DevOps Engineer

Job Overview

PTC is hiring an entry-level DevOps Engineer to support cloud infrastructure, automation initiatives, and deployment processes. As a global software leader that connects physical and digital worlds, PTC empowers businesses through scalable and innovative solutions.

This role is ideal for candidates with foundational DevOps knowledge, hands-on Python skills, Linux exposure, and familiarity with AWS. You will work alongside senior engineers to build reliable, automated systems in a fast-paced Agile environment.

Key Responsibilities

1. Support management and maintenance of AWS cloud infrastructure (EC2, S3, IAM, etc.).

2. Develop and enhance automation scripts using Python.

3. Contribute to internal tooling and process automation initiatives.

4. Assist in maintaining CI/CD pipelines and deployment workflows.

5. Monitor logging, alerting, and system health dashboards.

6. Troubleshoot issues across development, testing, and production environments.

7. Collaborate with cross-functional teams in Agile setups.

8. Stay updated with DevOps best practices and emerging cloud technologies.

Required Qualifications

• 0–2 years of DevOps experience (internships or academic projects accepted).

• Strong hands-on Python knowledge.

• Good understanding of Linux command-line and system fundamentals.

• Working knowledge of Git and CI/CD basics.

• Basic understanding of AWS services (EC2, S3, IAM).

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Good to Have

• Experience with Docker or containerization concepts.

• Familiarity with configuration management tools (Ansible, SaltStack).

• Exposure to Jenkins, GitLab CI, or GitHub Actions.

• Knowledge of networking and security fundamentals.

• Experience working in Agile environments using Jira.

Expected Salary

For a DevOps Engineer with 0–2 years of experience in Gurgaon, compensation typically ranges between ₹6 LPA – ₹10 LPA, depending on practical exposure to AWS, Python automation, and CI/CD implementation. Strong hands-on cloud project experience may lead to higher offers.
