Job Description
CloudAnalogy is hiring enthusiastic and detail-oriented Automation Engineers (QA Freshers) to join its Quality Assurance team across Mohali, Chandigarh, and Noida locations. This role is ideal for candidates who are starting their careers in software testing and want to gain hands-on experience in modern QA practices. The selected candidates will work on Salesforce-based applications and contribute to ensuring the quality, reliability, and performance of enterprise-grade solutions. This opportunity allows freshers to build a strong foundation in manual testing, API testing, and test automation.
The role involves understanding business requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria to design effective test cases. Candidates will perform various testing activities such as functional, regression, and exploratory testing to ensure that applications meet quality standards. Additionally, the role provides exposure to API testing using tools like Postman and introduces automation testing concepts using Playwright with JavaScript or TypeScript. This makes it a well-rounded position for building both manual and automation testing skills.
Beyond testing execution, candidates will be part of Agile development teams, participating in daily stand-ups, sprint planning, and collaborative discussions. The role encourages continuous learning, giving freshers exposure to modern tools, frameworks, and real-world project environments. With mentorship and hands-on experience, this position serves as an excellent entry point into the software testing and QA automation domain.
Roles & Responsibilities

Understand project requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria to design effective testing strategies.

Create and execute test cases for web-based applications to ensure functionality and usability.

Perform manual testing including functional, regression, and exploratory testing.

Identify, document, and track defects using tools like JIRA or similar bug tracking systems.

Conduct API testing using tools such as Postman to validate backend services.

Assist in developing and maintaining automation scripts using Playwright and JavaScript/TypeScript.

Collaborate with development and product teams to ensure timely delivery of high-quality software.

Participate in Agile ceremonies such as daily stand-ups, sprint planning, and retrospectives.

Ensure proper documentation of test cases, defects, and test results for future reference.

Continuously learn and adapt to new testing tools, frameworks, and industry best practices.
Requirements & Eligibility

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or related fields such as B.Tech, B.E, BCA, MCA, or B.Sc.

Freshers or candidates with up to 1 year of experience in software testing or QA roles.

Basic understanding of software testing concepts including SDLC and STLC.

Knowledge of manual testing techniques and test case design methodologies.

Basic understanding of API testing concepts and RESTful services.

Familiarity with programming languages such as JavaScript, TypeScript, or Java.

Understanding of web technologies including HTML, CSS, and DOM structure.

Exposure to testing tools such as Playwright, Selenium, or Postman is an added advantage.

Good analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Certifications like ISTQB or knowledge of automation frameworks will be considered a plus.
