Job Description:
DXC Technology is seeking a highly skilled Senior/Lead QA Automation Engineer to play a pivotal role in transforming legacy banking systems into cloud-based Java environments. This role focuses on designing and implementing advanced automation frameworks, ensuring comprehensive test coverage for functional, non-functional, integration, and data migration testing. You will work closely with the QA Lead and fellow QA engineers to define strategies, develop automated scripts, and execute tests that guarantee high-quality deliverables. Your expertise in Java, automation frameworks, and modern QA methodologies will directly contribute to reducing project risks and ensuring seamless system migration.

This position provides the opportunity to collaborate with cross-functional teams, including developers, business analysts, and stakeholders, to understand project requirements and translate them into effective test plans. Roles & Responsibilities:

1. Develop, implement, and maintain robust QA automation frameworks from scratch, primarily using Java, ensuring reliability and scalability.

2. Perform comprehensive testing across multiple domains including functional, non-functional, integration, and data migration, maintaining high-quality standards.

3. Conduct SOAP and REST API testing, validating backend processes and ensuring seamless integration between components.

4. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into effective test strategies and automation plans.

5. Drive innovation by identifying opportunities to improve testing processes, adopt new tools, and enhance automation efficiency.

6. Monitor and track defects, working closely with development teams to ensure timely resolution and regression testing.

7. Oversee batch processing validations and ensure data integrity throughout migration activities.

8. Mentor junior QA engineers, sharing best practices and providing technical guidance to enhance team performance.

9. Maintain detailed documentation of test plans, cases, and results, ensuring traceability and compliance with project standards.

10. Stay updated with emerging technologies, testing frameworks, and cloud-based QA solutions to maintain a competitive edge.

Requirements & Eligibility:

1. Minimum 8 years of experience as a QA Engineer with a strong focus on automation and proven ability to develop frameworks from scratch.

2. Advanced proficiency in Java programming and object-oriented principles to design maintainable, scalable test scripts.

3. Solid understanding of testing methodologies and approaches, including functional, non-functional, integration, and data migration testing.

4. Hands-on experience with API testing (SOAP/REST) and validating complex backend processes.

5. Familiarity with both manual and automated testing tools, techniques, and frameworks, enabling comprehensive QA coverage.

6. Knowledge of batch processing systems and experience ensuring data integrity across large-scale migrations.

7. Strong collaboration and communication skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.

8. Adaptability to learn new tools, technologies, and cloud-based platforms, particularly AWS.

9. Understanding of legacy systems and modern cloud-based architectures, contributing to successful system modernization initiatives.

10. Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
