As an AI Engineer at Merkle, you will develop sophisticated data processing workflows, build and deploy Generative AI (GenAI) applications, and contribute to the evaluation and optimization of large language models (LLMs). Roles & Responsibilities

• Design and develop scalable data processing pipelines using Python

• Build, integrate, and deploy GenAI applications using LLM APIs and frameworks like Semantic Kernel and LangChain

• Perform exploratory data analysis (EDA) and generate impactful visualizations using Matplotlib, Seaborn, and Plotly

• Collaborate with product, data, and engineering teams to transform business requirements into production-ready AI solutions

• Assist in evaluating and optimizing language models and fine-tuning existing ML pipelines

• Monitor application performance and implement enhancements for speed, scalability, and robustness

• Maintain well-documented, clean, and testable code following best software engineering practices

• Ensure proper version control and CI/CD using Git and cloud DevOps tools

Requirement & Eligibility

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or related technical fields

• 2+ years of hands-on experience in data science, machine learning, and AI solution development

• Proficiency in Python, with working knowledge of SQL and optionally R

• Familiarity with large language models (LLMs) and GenAI platforms

• Practical experience using PyTorch, scikit-learn, statsmodels, and other ML libraries

• Experience with data processing libraries like Pandas, NumPy, PySpark

• Understanding of APIs from OpenAI, HuggingFace, Google Vertex AI, and more

• Exposure to cloud platforms including AWS, Azure, or GCP

• Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving ability, and collaboration skills

• Experience with LLM-specific frameworks such as Semantic Kernel and LangChain is a major plus

💰 The average salary range for an AI Engineer at Merkle in cities like Bengaluru, Chennai, Pune, and Mumbai is estimated between ₹10 LPA to ₹18 LPA, depending on experience and project exposure.
