Job Description:
Amazon, one of the most recognized brands globally, is seeking a Team Lead for its delivery operations in Kolkata. This role is central to ensuring smooth day-to-day operations at Amazonโ€™s delivery centers, directly impacting customer satisfaction and operational efficiency. As a Team Lead, you will manage both inbound and outbound operations, coordinate multiple shifts, and oversee a team of associates to ensure timely deliveries. The position offers a unique opportunity to work in a fast-paced, customer-centric environment, develop leadership skills, and gain hands-on exposure to logistics and warehouse operations at scale.

In this role, you will be responsible for executing the operational plan while driving performance management of your team. You will mentor and coach associates, prepare training plans, and implement development programs to build a motivated and high-performing team. The position emphasizes problem-solving under pressure, analytical thinking, and resourceful decision-making, as well as aligning daily operations with Amazonโ€™s standards of excellence, safety, and efficiency.

The Team Lead role also involves continuous process improvement, monitoring key metrics, and conducting audits like 4M and 5S to maintain operational discipline. You will act as a stand-in for the Area Manager when required, ensuring the delivery center runs seamlessly across day and night shifts. Roles & Responsibilities:

  1. Manage daily end-to-end operations at one large site or multiple small delivery centers, ensuring timely and efficient delivery.

  2. Execute inbound and outbound operations while maintaining high service standards and safety compliance.

  3. Meet customer-facing metrics and cost targets while boosting team morale and maintaining operational discipline.

  4. Drive performance management of team members, preparing training and development plans tailored to individual needs.

  5. Conduct audits such as 4M and 5S to ensure delivery station operations comply with Amazonโ€™s standards.

  6. Actively participate in problem-solving and provide solutions for operational challenges, including ambiguous or high-pressure situations.

  7. Serve as a stand-in for the Area Manager, taking full responsibility for operational performance and decision-making.

  8. Analyze operational metrics to identify trends, opportunities for improvement, and implement actionable plans.

  9. Support associates in handling customer escalations, ensuring a positive delivery experience for end-users.

  10. Coordinate resources effectively, optimize workflow, and drive continuous improvement initiatives across shifts.

Requirements & Eligibility:

  1. Bachelorโ€™s degree preferred but not mandatory; candidates with strong work experience in logistics, warehousing, or manufacturing will be considered.

  2. 1โ€“3 years of experience in customer-facing operations, warehouse management, logistics, or manufacturing environments.

  3. Strong execution skills with a high bias for action and resourcefulness to achieve objectives under limited resources.

  4. Ability to work under pressure and navigate ambiguous situations while maintaining operational standards.

  5. Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially MS Excel, for data tracking, reporting, and operational analysis.

  6. Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English to effectively manage team and coordinate with management.

  7. Strong people management skills, including coaching, mentoring, and motivating associates to achieve performance goals.

  8. Analytical and problem-solving abilities to identify issues, propose solutions, and implement process improvements.

  9. Flexibility to manage day and night shifts while maintaining a high level of accountability.

  10. Passion for continuous learning and personal development within a fast-paced, customer-driven environment.

Expected Salary:
