Roles & Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain robust automated test scripts using Python and Selenium to ensure product stability and reliability.

• Build and enhance automation frameworks for regression, integration, and functional testing across multiple applications.

• Conduct thorough API testing using tools such as Postman or RestAssured to validate back-end services and data integrity.

• Work closely with developers, QA teams, and product managers to understand requirements and translate them into detailed test cases.

• Participate in Agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, estimations, and retrospectives, contributing to test strategies and release planning.

• Proactively identify bugs, document issues with clarity, and collaborate with development teams for timely resolution.

• Ensure continuous improvement of test coverage, efficiency, and execution speed by optimizing test suites.

• Stay updated on emerging testing tools, frameworks, and practices, and introduce innovative solutions to improve quality processes.

• Mentor junior QA engineers, guiding them in test automation best practices and fostering a culture of quality-first development.

• Act as a quality advocate within the team, ensuring that product releases meet the highest customer experience standards.

Requirements & Eligibility

• Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in automation testing with strong expertise in Python programming.

• Proven proficiency in Selenium WebDriver for end-to-end web application testing.

• Solid background in API automation testing, with tools like Postman, REST Assured, or equivalent.

• Experience working with test automation frameworks such as Pytest or similar runners.

• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and tools like Jenkins, Git, or other version control systems.

• Strong understanding of SDLC, STLC, and Agile/Scrum methodologies, ensuring seamless integration with development processes.

• Ability to design, write, and execute detailed test plans, test cases, and test strategies for complex applications.

• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills to debug issues and optimize test scripts.

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related fields; advanced certifications in test automation are a plus.

• Strong communication and collaboration skills to effectively work with cross-functional and global teams.

Expected Salary

The average salary for a Senior QA Engineer in Hyderabad typically ranges between ₹12 LPA to ₹20 LPA, depending on experience, skill set, and overall expertise in automation frameworks. Experienced professionals with strong API and CI/CD knowledge may command compensation on the higher end of the bracket.
